²¹ And they build houses and dwell in them, and they plant vineyards, and eat their fruit."

¹⁶ indeed, I Myself shall do this to you:I will visit panic upon you, attenuation and fever, making the eyesight vanish and causing the soul to pine; and you will sow your seed for naught, for your enemies will eat it.

³⁰ A wife shall you betroth, yet another man shall ravish her. A house shall you build, yet you shall not dwell in it. A vineyard shall you plant, yet you shall not take it for profane use. ³¹ Your bull shall be slaughtered before your eyes, yet you shall not eat of it. Your donkey shall be snatched from before you, yet it shall not return to you. Your flock shall be given to your enemies, yet there will be no saviour for you. ³² Your sons and your daughters shall be given to another people, and your eyes shall be staring and wasting away for them all the day, yet there will be nothing at the disposal of your hand. ³³ A people you do not know shall devour the fruit of your ground and all your labor, and you will surely be extorted and bruised all the days,

¹ And the sons of Israel do the evil thing in the eyes of Yahweh, and Yahweh gives them into the hand of Midian seven years, ² and the hand of Midian is strong against Israel, from the presence of Midian have the sons of Israel made for themselves the flowings which [are] in the mountains, and the caves, and the strongholds. ³ And it has been, if Israel has sowed, that Midian has come up, and Amalek, and the sons of the east, yea, they have come up against him, ⁴ and encamp against them, and destroy the increase of the land till your entering Gaza; and they leave no sustenance in Israel, either sheep, or ox, or ass;" ⁵ for they and their cattle come up, with their tents; they come in as the fulness of the locust for multitude, and of them and of their cattle there is no number, and they come into the land to destroy it. ⁶ And Israel is very weak from the presence of Midian, and the sons of Israel cry unto Yahweh.

¹⁸ And My people shall dwell in a homestead of welfare, and in tabernacles of trust, and in tranquil resting places,

³⁰ And this is the sign for you:Eat for the year the self-sown, and in the second year the spontaneous growth. Yet in the third year, sow and reap, and plant vineyards and eat their fruit."

⁸ Sworn has Yahweh with His right hand, and with the arm of His strength, "Should I give your grain further as food for your enemies--! And should sons of foreigners drink your grape juice for which you labor--!" ⁹ For its gatherers shall eat it and praise the name of Yahweh. And those who get it together shall drink it in the courts of My holy place,says your Elohim."

⁴ Again do I build you, And you have been built, O virgin of Israel, Again you put on your tabrets, And have gone out in the chorus of the playful." ⁵ Again you do plant vineyards In mountains of Samaria, Planters have planted, and made common."

¹⁴ And I will reverse the captivity of My people Israel, and they shall build the desolated cities and dwell in them. And they shall plant vineyards and drink their wine, and shall make gardens and eat their fruit."
