⁵ The heart of Moab is crying out in it. Its fugitives are unto Zoar, as a heifer of the third year, for the ascent of Luhith. It is ascending into it with lamentation, for the way is a hot outcry with breaking and quaking."

¹⁰ And lifting is Lot his eyes and is seeing all the basin of the Jordan, for all of it was irrigated before Yahweh wrecked Sodom and Gomorrah, as the garden of Yahweh Elohim, as the land of Egypt as you come to Zoar.

²² Hasten! Escape there, for not a thing can I do till you come there.Therefore he calls the name of the city Zoar.

²³ And all the land are weeping--a great voice, and all the people are passing over; and the king is passing over through the brook Kidron, and all the people are passing over on the front of the way of the wilderness;"

³⁰ And David is going up in the ascent of the olives, going up and weeping, and he has the head covered, and he is going barefooted, and all the people who [are] with him have covered each his head, and have gone up, going up and weeping;"

⁹ Therefore, I will lament with the lamentation of Jazer, for the vine of Sibmah. I will soak you with my tears, Heshbon and Elealeh, for, on your summer and on your harvest, devastation falls." ¹⁰ And gathered is rejoicing and exultation from the crop land. And in the vineyards is no jubilating, and no shouting. Wine in the wine vats the treader is not treading. The whooping I cause to cease." ¹¹ Therefore my bowels are clamoring as a harp for Moab, and my inwards as a new lyre for the side wall."

¹⁴ Yet now speaks Yahweh, saying, "In three years, as the years of a hireling, then slighted is the glory of Moab, in all the vast throng, and the remnant is but a little bit, and not abundant."

⁵ For a day of discomfiture and destruction is it, and trampling and lamentation, to my Lord Yahweh of hosts. In the ravine of Zion is a scooping through the side wall, small and great are straying to the mountain."

²⁰ Destruction on destruction is proclaimed, For spoiled has been all the land, Suddenly spoiled have been my tents, In a moment--my curtains."

¹⁸ My refreshing for me [is] sorrow, For me my heart [is] sick." ¹⁹ Lo, the voice of a cry of the daughter of my people from a land afar off, Is Yahweh not in Zion? is her king not in her? Wherefore have they provoked Me with their graven images, With the vanities of a foreigner?

¹⁰ For the mountains I lift up weeping and wailing, And for the habitations of the wilderness a lamentation, For they have been burnt up without any passing over, Nor have they heard the voice of cattle, From the fowl of the heavens unto the beast they have fled, they have gone."

¹⁸ And they hasten, and lift up for us a wailing. And run down our eyes do tears, And from our eyelids do waters flow." ¹⁹ For--a voice of wailing is heard from Zion:How have we been spoiled! We have been greatly ashamed, Because we have forsaken the land, Because they have cast down our tabernacles."

¹⁷ And if you do not hear it, In secret places does my soul weep, because of pride, Yea, it weeps sore, And the tear comes down mine eyes, For the flock of Yahweh has been taken captive."

¹⁶ And I hastened not from feeding after You, And the desperate day I have not desired, You--You have known, The produce of my lips, before Your face it has been,

⁵ For the ascent of Luhith with weeping, Go up does weeping, For in the descent of Horonaim Adversaries a cry of desolation have heard."

³¹ Therefore for Moab I howl, even for Moab--all of it, I cry for men of Kir-Heres, it does mourn, ³² With the weeping of Jazer, I weep for you, O vine of Sibmah, Your branches have passed over a sea, Unto the sea of Jazer they have come, On your summer fruits, and on your harvest, A spoiler has fallen." ³³ And removed has been joy and gladness From the fruitful field, Even from the land of Moab, And wine from wine-presses I have caused to cease, Shouting does not proceed, The shouting [is] no shouting!" ³⁴ Because of the cry of Heshbon unto Elealeh, Unto Jahaz they have given their voice, From Zoar unto Horonaim, A heifer of the third [year], For even waters of Nimrim become desolations." ³⁵ And I have caused to cease to Moab, An affirmation of Yahweh, Him who is offering in a high place, And him who is making perfume to his elohim." ³⁶ Therefore my heart for Moab as pipes does sound, And my heart for men of Kir-Heres As pipes does sound, Therefore the abundance he made did perish."

⁴¹ And as He draws near, perceiving the city, He laments over it, ⁴² saying that, "If you knew, even you, and surely in this day, what is for your peace-! Yet now it was hid from your eyes, ⁴³ for the days will be arriving on you, and your enemies will be casting up a rampart about you, and will be surrounding you, and will be pressing you everywhere, ⁴⁴ and will be leveling you and your children in you, and they will not be leaving a stone on a stone in you, because you knew not the era of your visitation."

¹ The truth am I telling in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience testifying together with me in holy spirit, ² 2 That my sorrow is great, and unintermittent pain is in my heart -" ³ for I myself wished to be anathema from Christ - for my brethren, my relatives according to the flesh,
