⁹ And calling is Abimelech to Abraham, and saying to him, "What have you done to us? And in what have I sinned against you, that you bring on me and on my kingdom a great sin? Deeds which are not being done you do to me.

¹⁸ And calling is Pharaoh to Abram and is saying, "What is this you do to me? Why did you not tell me that she is your wife?

¹⁰ And saying is Abimelech to him, "What is this you do to us? As if it were a little thing if one of my people lie with your wife and you bring the guilt upon us!"

²¹ Moses said to Aaron: What has this people done to you that you have brought on them a great sin?

³⁵ Then Yahweh struck the people down because they had used the calf which Aaron made.

¹⁰ As for a man who commits adultery with another man's wife--one who commits adultery with his associate's wife--the adulterer and the adulteress shall be put to death, yea death.

²⁵ And Joshua said, `What! you have troubled us! --Yahweh does trouble you this day;' and all Israel cast stones at him, and they burn them with fire, and they stone them with stones,

¹⁸ and he said, `Why [is] this--my lord is pursuing after his servant? for what have I done, and what [is] in my hand evil? ¹⁹ And, now, let, I pray you, my lord the king hear the words of his servant:if Yahweh has moved you against me, let Him accept a present; and if the sons of men--cursed [are] they before Yahweh, for they have cast me out to-day from being admitted into the inheritance of Yahweh, saying, Go, serve other elohims.

⁵ And the anger of David burns against the man exceedingly, and he said unto Nathan, `Yahweh lives, surely a son of death [is] the man who is doing this,

¹⁰ `And now, the sword does not turn aside from your house unto the eon, because you have despised Me, and do take the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be to you for a wife;" ¹¹ thus said Yahweh, Lo, I am raising up against you evil, out of your house, and have taken your wives before your eyes, and given to your neighbor, and he has lain with your wives before the eyes of this sun;"

¹² And she said to him, `Nay, my brother, do not humble me, for it is not done so in Israel; do not this folly.

¹⁰ He who causes the upright to err into an evil way He himself shall fall into his own pit, Yet the flawless shall have a good allotment."

¹¹ For there is no partiality with God,

¹¹ who must be gagged, who are subverting whole households, teaching what they must not, on behalf of sordid gain."

⁴ May matrimony be honorable in all, and the bed undefiled, for paramours and adulterers will God be judging."
