¹ In the twenty and fifth year of our removal, in the beginning of the year, in the tenth of the month, in the fourteenth year after that the city was smitten, in this self-same day has a hand of Yahweh been upon me, and He brings me in thither;"

⁴¹ And it came to be at the end of four hundred thirty years--and it came to be on this very day--that all the host of Yahweh went forth from the land of Egypt.

¹ And it comes to pass, in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth of the month, come has Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, he and all his force, against Jerusalem, and encamps against it, and builds against it a fortification round about. ² And the city enters into siege till the eleventh year of king Zedekiah, ³ on the ninth of the month--when the famine is severe in the city, and there has not been bread for the people of the land, ⁴ then the city is broken up, and all the men of war [go] by night the way of the gate, between the two walls that [are] by the garden of the king, and the Chaldeans [are] against the city round about, and [the king] goes the way of the plain. ⁵ And the force of the Chaldeans pursue after the king, and overtake him in the plains of Jericho, and all his force have been scattered from him;" ⁶ and they seize the king, and bring him up unto the king of Babylon, to Riblah, and they speak with him--judgment. ⁷ And the sons of Zedekiah they have slaughtered before his eyes, and the eyes of Zedekiah he has blinded, and binds him with brazen fetters, and they bring him to Babylon. ⁸ And in the fifth month, on the seventh of the month (it [is] the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon), has Nebuzaradan chief of the executioners, servant of the king of Babylon, come to Jerusalem, ⁹ and he burns the house of Yahweh, and the house of the king, and all the houses of Jerusalem, yea, every great house he has burned with fire;" ¹⁰ and the walls of Jerusalem round about have all the forces of the Chaldeans, who [are] with the chief of the executioners, broken down. ¹¹ And the rest of the people, those left in the city, and those falling who have fallen to the king of Babylon, and the rest of the multitude, has Nebuzaradan chief of the executioners removed;" ¹² and of the poor of the land has the chief of the executioners left for vine-dressers and for husbandmen. ¹³ And the pillars of brass that [are] in the house of Yahweh, and the bases, and the sea of brass, that [is] in the house of Yahweh, have the Chaldeans broken in pieces, and bear away their brass to Babylon. ¹⁴ And the pots, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass with which they minister they have taken, ¹⁵ and the fire-pans, and the bowls that [are] wholly of silver, has the chief of the executioners taken. ¹⁶ The two pillars, the one sea, and the bases that Solomon made for the house of Yahweh, there was no weighing of the brass of all these vessels;" ¹⁷ eighteen cubits [is] the height of the one pillar, and the chapiter on it [is] of brass, and the height of the chapiter [is] three cubits, and the net and the pomegranates [are] on the chapiter round about--the whole [is] of brass; and like these has the second pillar, with the net. ¹⁸ And the chief of the executioners takes Seraiah the head priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the threshold, ¹⁹ and out of the city he has taken a certain eunuch who is appointed over the men of war, and five men of those seeing the king's face who have been found in the city, and the head scribe of the host, who musters the people of the land, and sixty men of the people of the land who are found in the city, ²⁰ and Nebuzaradan chief of the executioners takes them, and causes them to go unto the king of Babylon, to Libnah, ²¹ and the king of Babylon smites them, and puts them to death in Riblah, in the land of Hamath, and he removes Judah from off its land. ²² And the people that is left in the land of Judah whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has left--he appoints over them Gedaliah son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan. ²³ And all the heads of the forces hear--they and the men--that the king of Babylon has appointed Gedaliah, and they come in unto Gedaliah, to Mizpah, even Ishmael son of Nethaniah, and Johanan son of Kareah, and Seraiah son of Tanhumeth the Netophathite, and Jaazaniah son of the Maachathite--they and their men;" ²⁴ and Gedaliah swears to them, and to their men, and said to them, `Be not afraid of the servants of the Chaldeans, dwell in the land and serve the king of Babylon, and it is good for you.. ²⁵ And it comes to pass, in the seventh month, come has Ishmael son of Nathaniah, son of Elishama of the seed of the kingdom, and ten men with him, and they smite Gedaliah, and he dies, and the Jews and the Chaldeans who have been with him in Mizpah. ²⁶ And all the people rise, from small even unto great, and the heads of the forces, and come in to Egypt, for they have been afraid of the presence of the Chaldeans. ²⁷ And it comes to pass, in the thirty and seventh year of the removal of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, in the twenty and seventh of the month has Evil-Merodach king of Babylon lifted up, in the year of his reigning, the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah, out of the house of restraint, ²⁸ and speaks with him good things and puts his throne above the throne of the kings who [are] with him in Babylon, ²⁹ and has changed the garments of his restraint, and he has eaten bread continually before him all days of his life, ³⁰ and his allowance--a continual allowance--has been given to him from the king, the matter of a day in its day, all days of his life.

¹ In the ninth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the tenth month, come has Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon and all his force unto Jerusalem, and they lay siege against it;" ² in the eleventh year of Zedekiah, in the fourth month, in the ninth of the month, has the city been broken up;" ³ and come in do all the heads of the king of Babylon, and they sit at the middle gate, Nergal-Sharezer, Samgar-Nebo, Sarsechim, chief of the eunuchs, Nergal-Sharezer, chief of the Mages, and all the rest of the heads of the king of Babylon." ⁴ And it comes to pass, when Zedekiah king of Judah, and all the men of war, have seen them, that they flee and go forth by night from the city, the way of the king's garden, through the gate between the two walls, and he goes forth the way of the plain." ⁵ And the forces of the Chaldeans pursue after them, and overtake Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho, and they take him, and bring him up unto Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, to Riblah, in the land of Hamath, and he speaks with him--judgments." ⁶ And the king of Babylon slaughters the sons of Zedekiah, in Riblah, before his eyes, yea, all the freemen of Judah has the king of Babylon slaughtered." ⁷ And the eyes of Zedekiah he has blinded, and he binds him with brazen fetters, to bring him in to Babylon." ⁸ And the house of the king, and the house of the people, have the Chaldeans burnt with fire, and the walls of Jerusalem they have broken down." ⁹ And the remnant of the people who are left in the city, and those falling who have fallen to him, and the remnant of the people who are left, has Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners, removed [to] Babylon." ¹⁰ And of the poor people, who have nothing, has Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners, left in the land of Judah, and he gives to them vineyards and fields on the same day." ¹¹ And Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon gives a charge concerning Jeremiah, by the hand of Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners, saying, ¹² `Take him, and place your eyes upon him, and do no evil thing to him, but as he speaks unto you, so do with him.'" <sup>13</sup> And Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners sends, and Nebushazban, chief of the eunuchs, and Nergal-Sharezer, chief of the Mages, and all the chiefs of the king of Babylon;" <sup>14</sup> yea, they send and take Jeremiah out of the court of the prison, and give him unto Gedaliah son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, to carry him home, and he dwells in the midst of the people." <sup>15</sup> And unto Jeremiah has a word of Yahweh been--in his being detained in the court of the prison--saying: <sup>16</sup> `Go, and you have spoken to Ebed-Melech the Cushite, saying:Thus said Yahweh of Hosts, Elohim of Israel:Lo, I am bringing in My words unto this city for evil, and not for good, and they have been before you in that day." ¹⁷ And I have delivered you in that day--an affirmation of Yahweh--and you are not given into the hand of the men of whose face you are afraid, ¹⁸ for I do certainly deliver you, and by sword you fall not, and your life has been to you for a spoil, for you have trusted in Me--an affirmation of Yahweh.'"

he has stood before the king of Babylon in Jerusalem, ¹³ and he burns the house of Yahweh, and the house of the king, and all the houses of Jerusalem, even every great house he has burned with fire, ¹⁴ and all the walls of Jerusalem round about broken down have all the forces of the Chaldeans that [are] with the chief of the executioners. ¹⁵ And of the poor of the people, and the remnant of the people who are left in the city, and those who are falling away, who have fallen unto the king of Babylon, and the remnant of the multitude, has Nebuzar-Adan chief of the executioners, removed;" ¹⁶ and of the poor of the land has Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners, left for vine-dressers and for husbandmen." ¹⁷ And the pillars of brass that [are] to the house of Yahweh, and the bases, and the brasen sea that [is] in the house of Yahweh, have the Chaldeans broken, and they bear away all the brass of them to Babylon;" ¹⁸ and the pots, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the bowls, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass with which they minister, they have taken away;" ¹⁹ and the basins, and the fire-pans, and the bowls, and the pots, and the candlesticks, and the spoons, and the cups, the gold of that which [is] gold, and the silver of that which [is] silver, has the chief of the executioners taken." ²⁰ The two pillars, the one sea, and the twelve brazen oxen that [are] beneath the bases, that king Solomon made for the house of Yahweh, there was no weighing of the brass of all these vessels." ²¹ As to the pillars, eighteen cubits [is] the height of the one pillar, and a cord of twelve cubits does compass it, and its thickness [is] four fingers hollow." ²² And the chapiter upon it [is] of brass, and the height of the one chapiter [is] five cubits, and net-work and pomegranates [are] on the chapiter round about, the whole [is] of brass; and like these have the second pillar, and pomegranates." ²³ And the pomegranates are ninety and six on a side, all the pomegranates [are] a hundred on the net-work round about." ²⁴ And the chief of the executioners takes Seraiah the head priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the threshold, ²⁵ and out of the city he has taken a certain eunuch, who has been inspector over the men of war, and seven men of those seeing the king's face, who have been found in the city, and the head scribe of the host, who musters the people of the land, and sixty men of the people of the land, who are found in the midst of the city;" ²⁶ and Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners, takes them, and brings them unto the king of Babylon to Riblah, ²⁷ and the king of Babylon smites them, and puts them to death in Riblah, in the land of Hamath, and he removes Judah from off its own ground." ²⁸ This [is] the people whom Nebuchadrezzar has removed:in the seventh year, of Jews, three thousand and twenty and three;" ²⁹ in the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar--from Jerusalem, souls, eight hundred thirty and two;" ³⁰ in the three and twentieth year of Nebuchadrezzar, has Nebuzar-Adan chief of the guard removed of Jewish souls, seven hundred forty and five; all the souls [are] four thousand and six hundred." ³¹ And it comes to pass, in the thirty and seventh year of the removal of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, in the twenty and fifth of the month, has Evil-Merodach king of Babylon lifted up, in the year of his reign, the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah, and brings him out from the house of restraint, ³² and speaks with him good things, and sets his throne above the throne of the kings who [are] with him in Babylon, ³³ and he has changed his prison garments, and he has eaten bread before him continually, all the days of his life." ³⁴ And his allowance--a continual allowance--has been given to him by the king of Babylon, the matter of a day in its day, till the day of his death--all days of his life."

² In the fifth of the month--it is the fifth year of the removal of the king Jehoiachin-- ³ has the word of Yahweh certainly been unto Ezekiel son of Buzi the priest, in the land of the Chaldeans, by the river Chebar, and there is on him there a hand of Yahweh."

¹⁴ And a spirit has lifted me up, and does take me away, and I go bitterly, in the heat of my spirit, and the hand of Yahweh on me [is] strong."

²² And there is on me there a hand of Yahweh, and He said to me, `Rise, go forth to the valley, and there I do speak with you.'"

¹ And it comes to pass, in the sixth year, in the sixth [month], in the fifth of the month, I am sitting in my house, and elders of Judah are sitting before me, and fall on me there does a hand of the Lord Yahweh,

²⁴ And a spirit has lifted me up, and brings me in to Chaldea, unto the Removed, in a vision, by the Spirit of Elohim, and go up from off me does the vision that I have seen;"

¹⁷ And it comes to pass, in the twenty and seventh year, in the first [month], in the first of the month, has a word of Yahweh been unto me, saying:"

¹⁷ And it comes to pass, in the twelfth year, in the fifteenth of the month, has a word of Yahweh been unto me, saying,

²¹ And it comes to pass, in the twelfth year--in the tenth [month], in the fifth of the month--of our removal, come in unto me does one who is escaped from Jerusalem, saying, `The city has been smitten.'"

¹ There has been upon me a hand of Yahweh, and He takes me forth in the Spirit of Yahweh, and does place me in the midst of the valley, and it is full of bones,

¹⁰ I came to be, in spirit, in the Lord's day, and I hear behind me a voice, loud as a trumpet,
