⁹ Yahweh said to Moses: Pharaoh shall not hearken to you so that My miracles may increase in the land of Egypt.

¹⁹ Yet I know that the king of Egypt shall not give you leave to go yea not even by a steadfast hand.

³ And I Myself shall harden the heart of Pharaoh and increase My signs and My miracles in the land of Egypt. ⁴ Though Pharaoh shall not hearken to you, yet I will lay My hand on Egypt and bring forth My hosts, My people, the sons of Israel, from the land of Egypt with great judgments.

¹ Yahweh said to Moses: Enter to Pharaoh, for I have made his heart glory and the hearts of his servants that I may set these My signs among them,

¹⁶ Consequently, then, it is not of him who is willing, nor of him who is racing, but of God, the Merciful." ¹⁷ For the scripture is saying to Pharaoh that "For this selfsame thing I rouse you up, so that I should be displaying in you My power, and so that My name should be published in the entire earth." ¹⁸ Consequently, then, to whom He will, He is merciful, yet whom He will, He is hardening."
