Deuteronomy 5:25 Cross References - CLV

²⁵ Yet now, why should we die? For this great fire shall devour us. If we are continuing to hear the voice of Yahweh our Elohim any further, than we will die.

¹⁶ according to all that you asked from Yahweh your Elohim at Horeb on the day of assembly, saying:Let me not continue to hear the voice of Yahweh my Elohim, and let me not see this great fire any further so that I may not die!"

² when he said:Yahweh came from Sinai, and He arose from Seir for them. He shone from Mount Paran, and He arrived with some from myriads of the holy ones. At His right are warriors who are His.

⁷ (Now if the dispensation of death, by letters chiseled in stone, came in glory, so that the sons of Israel were not able to look intently into the face of Moses, because of the glory of his face, which was being nullified, ⁸ how shall not rather the dispensation of the spirit be in glory? ⁹ For if in the dispensation of condemnation is glory, much rather the dispensation of righteousness is exceeding in glory." ¹⁰ For whoever are of works of law are under a curse, for it written that, Accursed is everyone who is not remaining in all things written in the scroll of the law to do them."

²¹ Is the law, then, against the promises of God? May it not be coming to that! For if a law were given that is able to vivify, really, righteousness were out of law." ²² But the scripture locks up all together under sin, that the promise out of Jesus Christ's faith may be given to those who are believing."

²⁹ for our God is also a consuming fire.
