⁸ Make a propitiatory shelter for Your people, Israel, whom You have ransomed, Yahweh, and let not guilt for the blood of the innocent remain among Your people, Israel. Thus a propitiatory shelter for them will be made concerning this bloodshed.

³³ You shall not pollute the land in which you are dwelling; for it is the blood that pollutes the land. As for the land, no shelter may be made for the blood which was shed on it save by the blood of him who shed it. ³⁴ You shall not defile the land in which you are dwelling, in whose midst I am tabernacling, for I, Yahweh, am tabernacling in the midst of the sons of Israel.

²⁸ And David hears afterwards and said, `Acquitted [am] I, and my kingdom, by Yahweh, unto the eon, from the blood of Abner son of Ner;"

⁴ and also the innocent blood that he has shed, and he fills Jerusalem with innocent blood, and Yahweh was not willing to forgive.

¹² Who can detect inadvertent errors? From those concealed to me, hold me innocent."

¹⁵ Only, know you certainly, that if you are putting me to death, surely innocent blood you are putting on yourselves, and on this city, and on its inhabitants; for truly has Yahweh sent me unto you to speak in your ears all these words.'"

³ And they go a-whoring in Egypt, In their youth they have gone a-whoring, There they have bruised their breasts, And there they have dealt with the loves of their virginity."

²⁴ And they have come in against you, With arms, rider, and wheel, And with an assembly of peoples; Target, and shield, and helmet, They do set against you round about, And I have set before them judgment, They have judged you in their Judgments." ²⁵ And I have set My jealousy against you, And they have dealt with you in fury, Your nose and your ears they turn aside, And your posterity by sword falls, They, your sons and your daughters do take away, And your posterity is devoured by fire."

¹⁴ Then they are calling to Yahweh and saying, Oh Yahweh, pray, we must not perish for the soul of this man. And You must not lay on us innocent blood, for You, Yahweh, just as You incline, You do."

³⁵ so that on you should be coming all the just blood shed on the earth, from the blood of just Abel until the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you murder between the temple and the altar."

¹⁵ who kill the Lord Jesus as well as the prophets, and banish us, and are not pleasing to God, and are contrary to all men, ¹⁶ forbidding us to speak to the nations that they may be saved, to fill up their sins always. Yet the indignation outstrips to them to a consummation."
