²⁵ Now at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and sang hymns to God. Now the prisoners listened to them.

¹² Many of the older priests and Levites and patriarchal heads who had seen the former House, were lamenting with a loud voice when the foundation of this House was laid before their eyes. Many others raised up the voice in shouting and rejoicing. ¹³ There was no one of the people recognizing the sound of the rejoicing shout from the sound of the lamenting of the people, for the people were shouting a loud shout, and the sound itself was heard even from afar.

¹⁰ But not one has said, Where is Eloah, my Maker, Who is giving psalms in the night,

² My Elohim, I am calling by day, yet You are not answering, And by night, yet there is no stillness for me."

¹ {Davidic{ {When he altered his sanity before Abimelech so that he drove him out, and he went away.{ Let me bless Yahweh in every season; His praise is in my mouth continually."

⁸ By day Yahweh enjoins His benignity, And by night His song is with me, A prayer to the El of my life."

¹⁵ And call upon Me in the day of distress; I shall liberate you, and you shall glorify Me."

⁷ I have become like a portent to many, Yet You are my strong Refuge."

² In the day of my distress I sought after Yahweh; At night my hand was stirred up in prayer, And it would not give way; My soul refused to be consoled."

⁶ Let me remember my soliloquy in the night; Let me meditate with my heart. So my spirit searched, saying,

¹⁵ He shall call on Me, and I shall answer him; I am with him in distress; I shall liberate him and glorify him."

⁵⁵ I remember Your Name in the night, O Yahweh, That I may keep Your law."

⁶² At midnight I arise to acclaim You For Your righteous ordinances.

²⁹ A song is becoming yours, as of a night sanctifying a celebration, and rejoicing of heart, as one going with a flute to come into the mountain of Yahweh, to the Rock of Israel."

⁸ Hear, pray, Joshua, the great priest, you and your associates who are sitting before you, for mortals of a miracle are they, for behold Me bringing My servant, the Sprout."

¹⁰ "Happy are those persecuted on account of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of the heavens. ¹¹ "Happy are you whenever they should be reproaching and persecuting you and, falsifying, saying every wicked thing against you, on my account.

³⁸ Then He is saying to them, Sorrow-stricken is My soul to death. Remain here and watch with Me." ³⁹ And coming forward a little, He falls on His face, praying and saying, "My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass by from Me. However, not as I will, but as Thou!"

²² Happy are you whenever men should be hating you, and whenever they should be severing from you and reproaching you and casting out your name as wicked, on account of the Son of Mankind." ²³ You may be rejoicing in that day, and frisk, for lo! your wages are vast in heaven, for according to the same manner did their fathers to the prophets."

⁴⁴ And coming to be in a struggle, He prayed more earnestly, and His sweat became as if clots of blood descending on the earth."

⁴¹ They, indeed, then, went from the face of the Sanhedrin, rejoicing that they were deemed worthy to be dishonored for the sake of the Name."

³ Yet not only so, but we may be glorying also in afflictions, having perceived that affliction is producing endurance,

¹² rejoicing in expectation, enduring affliction, persevering in prayer,

⁸ In everything, being afflicted, but not distressed; perplexed, but not despairing;" ⁹ persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not perishing -"

¹⁶ Wherefore we are not despondent, but even if our outward man is decaying, nevertheless that within us is being renewed day by day." ¹⁷ For the momentary lightness of our affliction is producing for us a transcendently transcendent eonian burden of glory,

¹⁰ as sorrowing, yet ever rejoicing, as poor, yet enriching many, as having nothing, and retaining all."

¹⁹ speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and playing music in your hearts to the Lord,

¹⁷ But even if I am a libation on the sacrifice and ministration of your faith, I am rejoicing myself and rejoicing together with you all."

⁴ Be rejoicing in the Lord always! Again, I will declare, be rejoicing!" ⁵ Let your lenience be known to all men: the Lord is near. ⁶ Do not worry about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, ⁷ and the peace of God, that is superior to every frame of mind, shall be garrisoning your hearts and your apprehensions in Christ Jesus."

²⁴ I am now rejoicing in my sufferings for you, and am filling up in my flesh, in His stead, the deficiencies of the afflictions of Christ, for His body, which is the ecclesia"

¹⁵ And let the peace of Christ be arbitrating in your hearts, for which you were called also in one body; and become thankful." ¹⁶ Let the word of Christ be making its home in you richly, in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing yourselves; in psalms, in hymns, in spiritual songs, singing, with grace in your hearts to God." ¹⁷ And everything, whatsoever you may be doing, in word or in act, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, giving thanks to God, the Father, through Him."

¹⁶ Be rejoicing always. ¹⁷ Be praying unintermittingly. ¹⁸ In everything be giving thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. "

⁷ Who, in the days of His flesh, offering both petitions and supplications with strong clamor and tears to Him Who is able to save Him out of death, being hearkened to also for His piety,

² All joy deem it, my brethren, whenever you should be falling into various trials,

¹³ Is anyone suffering evil among you? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him play music.

⁶ in which you are exulting; briefly at present, if it must be, being sorrowed by various trials, ⁷ that the testing of your faith, much more precious than gold which is perishing, yet, being tested by fire, may be found for applause and glory and honor at the unveiling of Jesus Christ, ⁸ Whom, not perceiving, you are loving; in Whom, not seeing at present, yet believing, you are exulting with joy unspeakable and glorious,

¹⁴ If you are being reproached in the name of Christ, happy are you, for the spirit of glory and power, and that of God, has come to rest on you."
