¹¹ And Nathan speaks unto Bath-Sheba, mother of Solomon, saying, `Have you not heard that Adonijah son of Haggith has reigned, and our lord David has not known?

⁴ and the fourth [is] Adonijah son of Haggith, and the fifth [is] Shephatiah son of Abital,

¹² `When your days are full, and you have lain with your fathers, then I have raised up your seed after you which goes out from your bowels, and have established his kingdom;" ¹³ He does build a house for My Name, and I have established the throne of his kingdom unto the eon. ¹⁴ I am to him for a father, and he is to Me for a son; whom in his dealings perversely I have even reproved with a rod of men, and with strokes of the sons of Adam, ¹⁵ and My kindness does not turn aside from him, as I turned it aside from Saul, whom I turned aside from before you, ¹⁶ and stedfast [is] your house and your kingdom unto the eon before you, your throne is established unto the eon.. ¹⁷ According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so spoke Nathan unto David.

²⁴ And David comforts Bath-Sheba his wife, and goes in unto her, and lies with her, and she bears a son, and he calls his name Solomon; and Yahweh has loved him, ²⁵ and sends by the hand of Nathan the prophet, and calls his name Jedidiah, because of Yahweh.

⁹ `Lo, a son is born to you; he is a man of rest, and I have given rest to him from all his enemies round about, for Solomon is his name, and peace and quietness I give unto Israel in his days;" ¹⁰ he does build a house to My name, and he is to Me for a son, and I [am] to him for a father, and I have established the throne of his kingdom over Israel unto the eon.

⁴ `And Yahweh, Elohim of Israel, does fix on me out of all the house of my father to be for king over Israel to the eon, for on Judah He has fixed for a leader, and in the house of Judah, the house of my father, and among the sons of my father, on me, [me] He has been pleased to make king over all Israel;" ⁵ and out of all my sons--for many sons has Yahweh given to me--He also fixes on Solomon my son, to sit on the throne of the kingdom of Yahweh over Israel,

¹ And David the king said to all the assembly, `Solomon my son--the one on whom Elohim has fixed--[is] young and tender, and the work [is] great, for not for man is the palace, but for Yahweh Elohim;"
