¹³ And Saul dies because of his trespass that he trespassed against Yahweh, against the word of Yahweh that he kept not, and also for asking at a familiar spirit--to inquire, -.

¹⁸ You shall not let an enchantress live.

³¹ Do not countenance mediums and wizards; do not seek them out to be defiled by them:I, Yahweh am your Elohim.

⁶ As for the soul who should countenance mediums and wizards to prostitute after them, I will set My face against that soul also and cut him off from among his people.

¹⁰ There shall not be found among you one causing his son or his daughter to pass through fire, or one divining divinations, or consulting clouds, auguring or enchantin. ¹¹ or charming with charms, one asking of a medium or wizard or inquiring after the dead. ¹² For anyone doing these things is an abhorrence to Yahweh your Elohim, and owing to these abhorrences Yahweh your Elohim is evicting them from your presence. ¹³ Flawless shall you come to be with Yahweh your Elohim. ¹⁴ For these nations in whose place you are tenanting, they hearken to cloud consulters and diviners. As for you, Yahweh your Elohim does not allow you to do so.

¹³ And Samuel said unto Saul, `You have been foolish; you have not kept the command of Yahweh your Elohim, which He commanded you, for now had Yahweh established your kingdom over Israel unto the eon;" ¹⁴ and, now, your kingdom does not stand, Yahweh has sought for Himself a man according to His own heart, and Yahweh charges him for leader over His people, for you have not kept that which Yahweh commanded you..

² `Thus said Yahweh of Hosts, I have looked after that which Amalek did to Israel, that which he laid for him in the way in his going up out of Egypt.

²³ for a sin of divination [is] rebellion, and iniquity and teraphim [is] stubbornness; because you have rejected the word of Yahweh, He also does reject you from [being] king..

⁷ And Saul said to his servants, `Seek for me a woman possessing a familiar spirit, and I go unto her, and inquire of her;' and his servants say unto him, `Lo, a woman possessing a familiar spirit in En-dor.. ⁸ And Saul disguises himself and puts on other garments, and goes, he and two of the men with him, and they come in unto the woman by night, and he said, `Divine, I pray you, to me by the familiar spirit, and cause to come up to me him whom I say unto you.. <sup>9</sup> And the woman said unto him, `Lo, you have known that which Saul has done, that he has cut off those having familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land; and why are you laying a snare for my soul--to put me to death?. ¹⁰ And Saul swears to her by Yahweh, saying, `Yahweh lives, punishment does not meet you for this thing.. <sup>11</sup> And the woman said, `Whom do I bring up to you?' and he said, `Samuel--bring up to me.. <sup>12</sup> And the woman sees Samuel, and cries with a loud voice, and the woman speaks unto Saul, saying, `Why have you deceived me--and you Saul?. ¹³ And the king said to her, `Do not fear; for what have you seen?' and the woman said unto Saul, `Elohims I have seen coming up out of the earth.. ¹⁴ And he said to her, `What [is] his form?' and she said, `An aged man is coming up, and he [is] covered with an upper robe;' and Saul knows that he [is] Samuel, and bows--face to you earth--and does obeisance. ¹⁵ And Samuel said unto Saul, `Why have you troubled me, to bring me up?' And Saul said, `I have great distress, and the Philistines are fighting against me, Elohim has turned aside from me, and has not answered me any more, either by the hand of the prophets, or by dreams; and I call for you to let me know what I do.. ¹⁶ And Samuel said, `And why do you ask me, and Yahweh has turned aside from you, and is your enemy? ¹⁷ And Yahweh does for Himself as He has spoken by my hand, and Yahweh rends the kingdom out of your hand, and gives it to your neighbor--to David. ¹⁸ Because you have not hearkened to the voice of Yahweh, nor did the fierceness of His anger on Amalek--therefore this thing has Yahweh done to you this day;" ¹⁹ yea, Yahweh gives also Israel with you into the hand of the Philistines, and tomorrow you and your sons [are] with me; also the camp of Israel does Yahweh give into the hand of the Philistines.. ²⁰ And Saul hastes and falls--the fulness of his stature--to the earth, and fears greatly because of the words of Samuel; also power was not in him, for he had not eaten bread all the day, and all the night.

⁶ and he has caused his son to pass through fire, and observed clouds, and used enchantment, and dealt with a familiar spirit and wizards; he has multiplied to do the evil thing in the eyes of Yahweh--to provoke to anger.

¹⁹ And in case they shall say to you, "Inquire of the mediums, and of the ventriloquists, and of the wizards, the chirpers and the cooers,Should not a people of its Elohim inquire? Who inquires about the living of the dead?

⁹ Yet, before this, a certain man named Simon existed in the city by using magic and amazing the nation of Samaria, saying himself to be some great one, ¹⁰ whom they all heeded, from the small to the great, saying, "This man is the power of the god which is called Great." ¹¹ Now they heeded him because of the considerable time the magic had to amaze them.

¹⁶ Now it occurred, at our going to prayer, a certain maid, having a python spirit, meets us, who afforded a vast income to her masters, divining." ¹⁷ She, following after Paul and us, cried, saying, "These men are slaves of God most high, who are announcing to you a way of salvation!" ¹⁸ Now this she did on many days. Now Paul, being exasperated and turning about, said to the spirit, "I am charging you, in the name of Jesus Christ, to be coming out from her!And it came out the same hour."
