¹⁷ For he shall take nothing when he dies; neither shall his glory descend with him.

³ And what will they do in the day of visitation? For affliction shall come to you from afar; and to whom will you flee for help? And where will you leave your glory,

²⁰ But God said to him, 'You fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have prepared?'

²⁴ Then he cried and said, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus so that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am suffering in this flame.'

⁴³ It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power.

⁷ For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain that neither can we carry anything out!
