⁴⁴ at the hearing of the ear they obeyed me: the strange children lied to me.

²⁹ Blessed are you, O Israel; who is like you, O people saved by the Lord? Your helper shall hold His shield over you, and His sword is your boast; and your enemies shall speak falsely to you, and you shall tread upon their neck.

¹³ And David said to the young man who brought the news to him, Where are you from? And he said, I am the son of an Amalekite sojourner.

⁴⁴ And You shall deliver me from the striving of the peoples, You shall keep me to be the head of the Gentiles:; a people which I knew not served me. ⁴⁵ The strange children feigned obedience to me; they hearkened to me as soon as they heard. ⁴⁶ The strange children shall be cast away, and shall be overthrown out of their hiding places.

³ Say unto God, How awesome are Your works! Through the greatness of Your power Your enemies shall submit themselves to You.

³⁰ Rebuke the wild beasts of the reed; let the crowd of bulls with the heifers of the nations be rebuked, so that they who have been proved with silver may not be shut out; scatter the nations that wish for wars.

¹⁵ The Lord's enemies would have lied to Him; but their time shall be forever.

⁸ For the Lord has sworn by His glory, and by the might of His arm, I will no more give your grain and your provisions to your enemies; nor shall strangers anymore drink your wine, for which you have labored.

⁷ That you have brought in aliens, uncircumcised in heart, and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in My sanctuary, and to profane it, when you offered bread, flesh, and blood; and you transgressed My covenant by all your iniquities;

¹⁶ But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed our report?" ¹⁷ So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
