³² But at last such a one stretches himself out as one smitten by a serpent, and venom is diffused through him as by a horned serpent.

⁵ And all the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, stretching out My hand upon Egypt, and I will bring out the children of Israel from the midst of them. ⁶ And Moses and Aaron did as the Lord commanded them, so did they.

¹² And they cast down each his rod, and they became serpents, but the rod of Aaron swallowed up their rods.

⁵ They have hatched vipers' eggs, and weave a spider's web; and he that is going to eat of their eggs, having crushed an addled egg, has found also in it a basilisk.

³¹ the prophets utter unrighteous prophecies, and the priests have clapped their hands, and My people have loved it! And what will you do for the future?

¹⁷ For behold, I send forth against you deadly serpents, which cannot be charmed, and they shall bite you

¹⁹ As if a man should flee from the face of a lion, and a bear should meet him; and he should spring into his house, and lean his hands upon the wall, and a serpent should bite him.

³ If they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, from there will I search them out and take them; and if they should go down from My presence into the depths of the sea, there will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them.

²⁵ But Abraham said, 'Child, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus bad things, but now here he is comforted and you are suffering. ²⁶ And besides all this, between us and you a great gulf has been fixed, so that those who desire to cross over from here to you are not able, nor may those from there cross over to us.'

²¹ So what fruit did you have then of which things you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.
