³⁷ And Balak said to Balaam, Did I not send to you to call you? Why have you not come to me? Shall I not indeed be able to honor you?

¹⁶ And they came to Balaam, and they said to him, Thus says Balak the son of Zippor: I beseech you, delay not to come to me. ¹⁷ For I will greatly honor you, and will do for you whatsoever you shall say; come then, curse this people for me.

¹¹ Now therefore flee to your place. I said, I will honor you, but now the Lord has deprived you of glory.

⁶ For good comes neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the desert mountains.

⁸ Again, the devil took Him up on a very high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world, and their glory. ⁹ And he said to Him, "All these things will I give You, if You will fall down and worship me."

⁶ And the devil said to Him, "All this authority I will give You, and their glory; because it has been given to me, and I give it to whomever I wish.

⁴⁴ How can you believe, who receive glory from one another, and do not seek the glory which is from the only God?
