²² And unless those days were cut short, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake, those days will be cut short.

¹³ And yet there shall be a tenth upon it, and again it shall be for a spoil, as a terebinth tree, and as an acorn when it falls out of its husk.

⁸ Thus says the Lord: As the new wine shall be found in the cluster, and they shall say, Destroy it not; for a blessing is in it; so will I do for the sake of him that serves Me, for his sake I will not destroy them all. ⁹ And I will lead forth the seed that came of Jacob and of Judah, and they shall inherit My holy mountain; and My elect and My servants shall inherit it, and shall dwell there.

⁸ And it shall come to pass that in all the land, says the Lord, two-thirds in it shall be cut off and perish; but one-third shall be left in it.

² And I will gather all the Gentiles to Jerusalem to war, and the city shall be taken, and the houses plundered, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, but the rest of My people shall not be utterly cut off from the city.

¹⁴ "For many are called, but few are chosen."

²⁴ For false christs and false prophets will be raised up, and they will show great signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

³¹ And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

²⁰ And unless the Lord had cut short the days, no flesh would be saved; but on account of the elect, whom He chose, He cut short the days.

⁷ And God, shall He not execute justice for His own elect, who cry out day and night to Him, and yet He is patient with them?

¹¹ for the children not yet being born, nor having done anything good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might abide, not of works but of Him who calls,

²⁵ For I do not desire you to be ignorant, brothers, of this mystery, lest you be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. ²⁶ And so all Israel shall be saved, as it is written: "The Deliverer shall come out of Zion, and He shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob; ²⁷ For this is My covenant with them, when I take away their sins." ²⁸ As regards to the gospel, they are enemies for your sake; but as regards to election, they are beloved for the sake of the fathers. ²⁹ For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. ³⁰ For just as you once were disobedient to God, but now you were shown mercy through their disobedience, ³¹ even so these now were disobedient, that through the mercy shown you they also might be shown mercy.

¹⁰ Because of this, I endure all things for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
