²¹ For then there shall be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until now, nor by any means shall be.

²² Let their table before them be for a snare, and for a recompense, and for a stumbling block. ²³ Let their eyes be darkened that they should not see; and bow down their back continually. ²⁴ Pour out Your wrath upon them, and let the fury of Your anger take hold of them. ²⁵ Let their habitation be made desolate; and let there be no inhabitant in their tents; ²⁶ because they persecuted him whom You have smitten; and they have added to the grief of my wounds. ²⁷ Add iniquity to their iniquity; and let them not come into Your righteousness. ²⁸ Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and let them not be written with the righteous.

¹² I will deliver you up to the sword, you shall all fall by slaughter; for I called you, and you hearkened not; I spoke, and you refused to hear; and you did evil in My sight, and chose the things in which I do not delight. ¹³ Therefore thus says the Lord: Behold, My servants shall eat, but you shall hunger; behold, My servants shall drink, but you shall thirst; behold, My servants shall rejoice, but you shall be ashamed; ¹⁴ behold, My servants shall exalt with joy, but you shall cry for the sorrow of your heart, and shall howl for the vexation of your spirit. ¹⁵ For you shall leave your name for a loathing to My chosen, and the Lord shall destroy you; but My servants shall be called by a new name, ¹⁶ which shall be blessed on the earth; for they shall bless the true God; and they that swear upon the earth shall swear by the true God; for they shall forget the former affliction, it shall not come into their mind.

¹⁵ For behold, the Lord will come as fire, and His chariots as a storm, to render His vengeance with wrath, and His rebuke with a flame of fire. ¹⁶ For with the fire of the Lord all the earth shall be judged, and all flesh with His sword; many shall be slain by the Lord.

²⁶ And after the sixty-two weeks, the Anointed One shall be killed, and there is no judgment in Him. And He shall destroy the city and the sanctuary with the prince that is to come: they shall be cut off with a flood, and to the end of the war which is rapidly completed He shall appoint the city to desolations.

¹ And at that time Michael the great prince shall stand up, that stands over the children of your people, and there shall be a time of tribulation, such tribulation as has not been from the time that there was a nation on the earth until that time. At that time your people shall be delivered, everyone that is written in the book.

² Hear these words, you elders, and hear, you that inhabit the land. Have such things happened in your days, or in the days of your fathers?

² for a day of darkness and gloominess is near, a day of cloud and mist; a numerous and strong people shall be spread upon the mountains as the morning; there has not been one like it from the beginning, and after it there shall not be again, even to the years of many generations.

⁸ And I will cut off three shepherds in one month, and My soul shall grieve over them, for their souls cried out against Me. ⁹ And I said, I will not tend you: that which dies, let it die; and that which falls off, let it fall off; and let the rest eat the flesh of his neighbor.

² And I will gather all the Gentiles to Jerusalem to war, and the city shall be taken, and the houses plundered, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, but the rest of My people shall not be utterly cut off from the city. ³ And the Lord shall go forth, and fight with those Gentiles as when He fought in the day of war.

¹ For behold, a day comes burning as an oven, and it shall consume them; and all the aliens, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that is coming shall set them on fire, says the Lord Almighty, and there shall not be left of them root or branch.

²⁹ "Immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give its light; and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.

⁹ But take heed to yourselves, for they will deliver you up to councils, and you will be flogged in the synagogues. You will stand before rulers and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them.

⁴³ For days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment around you, surround you and hem you in from every side, ⁴⁴ and they will level you to the ground, and your children with you; and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not know the season of your visitation."

²⁴ And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

¹⁶ forbidding us from speaking to the Gentiles so that they may be saved, so as always to fill up the measure of their sins; but the wrath of God has come upon them to the uttermost.

²⁶ For if we sin willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, ²⁷ but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery zeal being about to devour the adversaries. ²⁸ Anyone disregarding the law of Moses dies without compassions on the testimony of two or three witnesses. ²⁹ By how much worse punishment, do you think, will he be deemed worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, and has regarded as common the blood of the covenant, by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace?
