³ "Listen! Behold, a sower went out to sow.

¹ And now, O Israel, hear the statutes and judgments, hear all that I teach you this day to do, that you may live, and be multiplied, and that you may go in and inherit the land, which the Lord God of your fathers gives to you.

¹¹ Come, you children, hear me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord.

¹⁰ Hear, O daughter, and see, and incline your ear; forget also your people, and your father's house.

²⁴ Now then my son, listen to me, and attend to the words of my mouth.

³² Now then, my son, hear me: blessed is the man who shall listen to me, and the mortal who shall keep my ways;

⁶ In the morning sow your seed, and in the evening let not your hand be slack; for you know not what sort shall prosper whether this or that, or whether both shall be good alike.

²³ Listen, and hear my voice; give ear, and hear my words. ²⁴ Will the plowman plow all the day? Or will he prepare the seed beforehand, before he tills the ground? ²⁵ Does he not, when he has leveled the surface, then sow the small black poppy, or cumin, and afterward sow wheat, barley, millet, and grain in your borders? ²⁶ So you shall be chastened by the judgment of your God, and shall rejoice.

³ Hear Me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of Israel, who are borne by Me from the womb, and taught by Me from infancy, even to old age;

¹² Hearken to Me, you senseless ones, that are far from righteousness;

¹ You that thirst, go to the water, and all that have no money, go and buy; and eat and drink wine and milk without money or price. ² Why do you value at the price of money, and give your labor for that which will not satisfy? Hearken to Me, and you shall eat that which is good, and your soul shall feast itself on good things.

³ And He spoke to them many things in parables, saying: "Behold, a sower went out to sow.

²⁴ Another parable He set before them, saying: "The kingdom of heaven is like a man sowing good seed in his field.

²⁶ But when the stalk had sprouted and produced fruit, then the tares also appeared.

⁹ And He said, "He that has ears to hear, let him hear!"

¹⁴ The sower sows the word.

²³ If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear."

²⁶ And He said, "Thus is the kingdom of God as if a man should cast the seed on the ground, ²⁷ and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and should grow, he himself does not know how. ²⁸ For the earth produces fruit of itself: first a shoot, then a head of grain, then full wheat in the head of grain. ²⁹ But whenever the fruit permits, immediately he sends forth the sickle, because the harvest has come."

¹⁴ And having summoned all the crowd, He said to them, "Hear Me, all of you and understand: ¹⁵ There is nothing from outside a man, that entering into him, can defile him; but the things which come out of him, those are the things that defile a man.

⁵ A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell alongside the road; and it was trampled down, and the birds of the air devoured it. ⁶ And other seed fell on rock; and when it grew up, it withered away because it had no moisture. ⁷ And other seed fell among thorns, and when the thorns grew up with it, they choked it. ⁸ But other seed fell into good ground, and when it grew up, it produced fruit a hundredfold." Saying these things He was calling out, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear!"

³⁵ Do you not say, 'There are still four months and the harvest comes'? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and see the fields, for they are already white for harvest! ³⁶ And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit unto eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. ³⁷ For in this the saying is true: 'One sows and another reaps.' ³⁸ "I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors."

¹⁴ But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice and spoke out to them, "Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and give ear to my words.

⁶ I planted, Apollos watered, but God gives the increase. ⁷ So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. ⁸ Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor. ⁹ For we are coworkers with God; you are God's field, you are God's building.

¹ On account of this we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away. ² For if the word which was spoken through angels was confirmed, and every transgression and disobedience received a just reward, ³ how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which in the beginning was spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him,

⁵ Listen, my beloved brothers. Did God not choose the poor of the world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those that love Him?

⁷ He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him that overcomes will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the Paradise of My God." '

¹¹ He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall in no way be harmed by the second death." '
