²⁹ Jesus answered him, "The first of all the commandments is: 'Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God is one LORD.

⁴ Hear, O Israel, The Lord our God is one Lord.

¹² And now, O Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, and to walk in all His ways, and to love Him, and to serve the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul;

⁶ And the Lord shall purge your heart, and the heart of your seed, to love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, that you may live.

²⁶ My son, give me your heart, and let your eyes observe my ways.

³⁷ He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.

⁹ Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven.

³² So the scribe said to Him, "Well said, Teacher, in truth You said that He is one, and there is no other besides Him. ³³ And to love Him with the whole heart, and with the whole understanding, with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love one's neighbor as oneself, is more than all the whole burnt offerings and sacrifices."

²⁷ So he answered and said, " 'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,' and 'your neighbor as yourself.' "

³⁰ since there is one God who will justify the circumcision by faith, and the uncircumcised through faith.

⁴ Therefore concerning the eating of the things offered to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is no other God but one.

²⁰ Now the mediator is not for one person, but God is one.

⁵ Now the goal of the commandment is love out of a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith,

⁵ For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,

¹⁹ You believe God is one. You do well. Even the demons believe--and they shudder!

²⁵ To the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.
