⁴¹ Let us lift up our hearts with our hand to the lofty One in heaven.

² Hearken to the voice of my supplication, when I pray to You, when I lift up my hands toward Your holy temple.

² Let my prayer be set forth before You as incense; the lifting up of my hands as an evening sacrifice.

⁶ I spread forth my hands to You; my soul thirsts for You, as a dry land. Pause. ⁷ Hear me speedily, O Lord; my spirit has failed; do not hide Your face from me, lest I be like them that go down to the pit. ⁸ Cause me to hear Your mercy in the morning; for I have hoped in You; make known to me, O Lord, the way in which I should walk; for I have lifted up my soul to You.

⁸ In this way longing for you, we were well pleased to impart to you not only the gospel of God, but also our own lives, because you had become dear to us.
