⁶ And the children of Israel relented toward Benjamin their brother, and said, Today one tribe is cut off from Israel.

³⁵ And it came to pass when he saw her, that he tore his clothes, and said, Ah, ah, my daughter, you have indeed troubled me, and you are the cause of my trouble; and I have opened my mouth against you to the Lord, and I shall not be able to return from it.

²³ And the children of Israel went up, and wept before the Lord till evening, and inquired of the Lord, saying, Shall we again draw near to battle with our brethren the children of Benjamin? And the Lord said, Go up against them.

¹⁵ And the people grieved for Benjamin, because the Lord had made a void in the tribes of Israel.
