¹⁰ He was in the world, and the world came to be through Him, and the world did not know Him.

⁶ And the Lord said, Behold, there is one race, and one language of all, and they have begun to do this, and now nothing shall fail from them of all that they have undertaken to do. ⁷ Come, let Us go down and confound their language, that they may not understand each the voice of his neighbor. ⁸ And the Lord scattered them from there over the face of all the earth, and they left off building the city and the tower. ⁹ On this account its name was called Babel, because there the Lord confounded the languages of all the earth, and then the Lord scattered them upon the face of all the earth.

¹³ And she called the name of the Lord God who spoke to her, You are the God who sees; for she said, For I have openly seen Him that appeared to me.

¹ When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, I am your God, be well-pleasing before Me, and be blameless.

³³ And the Lord departed, when He left off speaking to Abraham, and Abraham returned to his place.

⁴ And when the Lord saw that he drew near to see, the Lord called him out of the bush, saying, Moses, Moses. And he said, What is it? ⁵ And He said, Draw no closer! Loose your sandals from off your feet, for the place on which you stand is holy ground. ⁶ And He said, I am the God of your father — the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses turned away his face, for he was afraid to gaze at God.

¹¹ Thus shall you say to them: Let the gods which have not made heaven and earth perish from off the earth, and from under this sky. ¹² It is the Lord that made the earth by His strength, who set up the world by His wisdom, and by His understanding stretched out the sky,

²⁷ All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one fully knows the Son except the Father, nor does anyone fully know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.

⁵ And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not apprehend it.

¹⁸ No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, He who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.

¹⁷ But Jesus answered them, "My Father has been working until now, and I am working."

²⁵ O righteous Father! Indeed the world did not know You, yet I knew You; and these knew that You sent Me.

¹⁷ And yet He did not leave Himself without witness, in that He did good, giving to you rains from heaven and fruitbearing seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness."

²⁴ The God who made the world and all the things in it, Him being Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in sanctuaries made by human hands, ²⁵ nor by the hands of men is He served, as though He needed anything, for He gives to all life, and breath, with respect to all things. ²⁶ And He made from one blood every nation of men to dwell upon all the face of the earth, and He ordained their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, ²⁷ in order for them to seek the Lord, if perhaps indeed they might grope for Him and find Him, and yet being indeed not far from each one of us;

²¹ For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, God was well pleased, through the foolishness of our preaching, to save those that believe.

⁸ which none of the rulers of this age knew (for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory).

² has in these last days spoken to us by the Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; ³ who being the effulgence of His glory and the exact expression of His substance, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

³ By faith we understand that time itself was framed by a word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.

¹ Behold what manner of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God! On account of this the world does not know you, because it did not know Him.
