⁴ Jesus therefore, knowing all things coming upon Him, went out and said to them, "Whom do you seek?"

¹⁰ As the Lord your God lives, there is not a nation or kingdom where my lord has not sent to seek you; and if they said, He is not here, then has he set fire to the kingdom and its territories, because he has not found you.

¹⁴ And now you say to me, Go, say to your master, Behold, Elijah is here; and he shall slay me. ¹⁵ And Elijah said, As the Lord of hosts lives, before whom I stand, today I will appear before him. ¹⁶ And Obadiah went to meet Ahab, and told him. And Ahab made haste, and went to meet Elijah. ¹⁷ And it came to pass when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said to Elijah, Are you he that perverts Israel? ¹⁸ And Elijah said, I do not pervert Israel; but it is you and your father's house, in that you forsake the Lord your God, and you have gone after the Baals.

¹¹ And I said, Who is the man that shall enter into the house, that he may live?

⁶ I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, who beset me round about.

³ Though an army should set itself in array against me, my heart shall not be afraid; Though war should rise up against me, in this am I confident.

¹ The ungodly man flees when no one pursues, but the righteous is confident as a lion.

²¹ From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go off to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and to be killed, and to be raised the third day.

²² And while they were staying in Galilee, Jesus said to them, "The Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men, ²³ and they will kill Him, and on the third day He shall be raised." And they were exceedingly sorrowful.

¹⁸ "Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn Him to death, ¹⁹ and they will hand Him over to the Gentiles to mock and to scourge and to crucify. And the third day He shall rise again."

² You know that after two days the Passover takes place, and the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified."

²¹ Now while they were eating, He said, "Assuredly I say to you, that one of you will betray Me."

³¹ Then Jesus said to them, "All of you will be made to stumble because of Me on this night, for it is written: 'I will strike the Shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.'

³³ "Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered up to the chief priests and to the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death and will deliver Him over to the Gentiles; ³⁴ and they will mock Him, and scourge Him, and spit on Him, and kill Him. And on the third day He will rise again."

³¹ Then taking the twelve aside, He said to them, "Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of Man will be accomplished. ³² For He will be betrayed to the Gentiles, and will be mocked and insulted and spit upon, ³³ and having scourged Him, they will kill Him. And on the third day He will rise again."

⁶ He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, ⁷ saying, 'The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and on the third day rise again.' "

⁴⁴ Then He said to them, "These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me."

⁶⁴ But there are some of you who do not believe." For Jesus knew from the beginning who were the ones who did not believe, and who was the one who would betray Him.

¹⁷ Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it up again. ¹⁸ No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This command I have received from My Father."

¹ Now before the feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that His hour had come that He should depart from this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.

¹¹ For He knew who would betray Him; therefore He said, "You are not all clean."

⁷ Then He asked them again, "Whom do you seek?" And they said, "Jesus the Nazarene."

²⁸ After this, Jesus, seeing that all things already had been fulfilled, so that the Scripture might be fulfilled, He said, "I thirst!"

²⁸ You have made known to me the ways of life; You will fill me full of joy in Your presence."

²⁴ So when they heard that, they raised their voice to God with one mind and said: "Lord, You are God, who made heaven and the earth and the sea, and all that is in them, ²⁵ who by the mouth of Your servant David have said: 'Why did the nations rage, and the people conspired vain things? ²⁶ The kings of the earth took their stand, and the rulers were assembled together against the LORD and against His Christ.' ²⁷ "For truly they were assembled against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, ²⁸ to do all that Your hand and Your counsel foreordained to come to pass.

²² And now behold, I, having been bound in the spirit, am going to Jerusalem, not knowing the things that will happen to me there, ²³ except that the Holy Spirit in every city is solemnly bearing witness, saying that bonds and tribulations are waiting for me.

¹ Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, you also arm yourselves with the same mind, because he who suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,
