²³ And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.

²⁴ And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will hearken to them; while they are yet speaking, I will say, What is it?

⁷ "Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you.

²² And all things, as many as you may ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive."

³⁶ Simon Peter said to Him, "Lord, where are You going?" Jesus answered him, "Where I am going you cannot follow Me now, but later you will follow Me." ³⁷ Peter said to Him, "Lord, why can I not follow You now? I will lay down my life for You."

⁵ Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?"

¹³ And whatever you may ask in My name, this I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. ¹⁴ If you should ask anything in My name, I will do it.

²⁰ In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.

²² Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, "Lord, and what has happened that You are about to manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?"

⁷ If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what ever you may desire, and it shall be done for you.

¹⁵ No longer do I call you servants, because a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, because all things which I heard from My Father I have made known to you. ¹⁶ You did not choose Me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, so that whatever you may ask the Father in My name He may give to you.

¹⁹ Now Jesus knew that they were desiring to ask Him, and He said to them, "Are you inquiring with one another that I said, 'A little while and you will not see Me; and again a little while and you will see Me'?

²⁶ In that day you will ask in My name, and I do not say to you that I will beseech the Father for you;

³⁰ Now we are sure that You know all things, and have no need that anyone should question You. By this we believe that You came forth from God."

²⁰ Then Peter, turning around, saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following, who also had reclined on His chest at the supper, and said, "Lord, who is the one who betrays You?" ²¹ Peter, seeing him, said to Jesus, "But Lord, what about this man?"

¹⁸ Because through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.

¹⁴ For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, ¹⁵ from whom every family in heaven and upon earth takes its name, ¹⁶ that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power by His Spirit in the inner man, ¹⁷ that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; being rooted and founded in love, ¹⁸ that you may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and depth and height-- ¹⁹ and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. ²⁰ Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly more than all the things which we ask or think, according to the power which is working in us,

⁵ For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, ⁶ who gave Himself a ransom for all, the testimony in due time;

¹⁴ Therefore having a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast the confession. ¹⁵ For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but having been tempted in all respects in quite the same way as we are, yet without sin. ¹⁶ Therefore let us come boldly to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

²⁵ Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those coming to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. ²⁶ For such a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, innocent, undefiled, having been separated from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens;

¹⁹ Therefore, brothers, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, ²⁰ by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, ²¹ and having a High Priest over the house of God, ²² let us approach with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies having been washed with clean water. ²³ Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.

¹ My little children, these things I write to you, that you may not sin. And if someone should sin, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

¹⁴ And this is the confidence that we have toward Him, that if we should ask anything according to His will, He hears us. ¹⁵ And if we know that He hears us, whatever we may ask, we know that we have the requests that we have requested from Him. ¹⁶ If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin not leading to death, he shall ask, and He shall give him life for those who do not sin unto death. There is a sin leading to death. I do not say that he should ask about that.
