¹⁴ Therefore if I, your Lord and your Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet.

²⁶ Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, shall be your servant. ²⁷ And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave; ²⁸ just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many."

⁴³ Yet it will not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant. ⁴⁴ And whoever of you desires to be first shall be servant of all. ⁴⁵ For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."

²⁶ But you shall not be thus; but let the greatest among you, let him be as the youngest, and he who leads as he who serves. ²⁷ For who is greater, he who sits at the table, or he who serves? Is it not he who sits at the table? Yet I am among you as the One who serves.

³⁵ By all things I have shown you, that thus laboring it is necessary to help those being weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.' "

¹⁰ Be warmly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor preferring one another;

¹⁶ Be of the same mind toward one another. Not minding the high things, but associating with the humble. Do not become wise in your own opinion.

¹ We then who are strong are obligated to bear with the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. ² Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, leading to edification. ³ For even Christ did not please Himself; but as it is written, "The reproaches of those reproaching You fell on Me."

¹³ Wherefore, if food causes my brother to stumble, I will by no means eat meat, lest I cause my brother to stumble.

¹⁹ For being free from all men, I have made myself a servant to all, in order that I might win the more; ²⁰ and to the Jews I became as a Jew, in order that I might win Jews; to those who are under law, as under law, in order that I might win those who are under law; ²¹ to those outside the law, as one outside the law (not being outside the law toward God, but subject to the law toward Christ), in order that I might win those outside the law; ²² to the weak I became as weak, in order that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.

⁹ For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet on account of you He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.

¹ Now I, Paul, myself appeal to you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, I who face to face am lowly among you, but when I am away am bold toward you.

¹³ For you, brothers were called to freedom; only do not use freedom for an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.

¹ Brothers, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a person in a spirit of gentleness, looking out for yourself lest you also be tempted. ² Bear one another's burdens, and thus fulfill the law of Christ.

² fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being united in spirit, intending the same purpose, ³ doing nothing according to selfish ambition or conceit, but with humility, regarding one another as being better than yourselves. ⁴ Let each of you look out not only for his own concerns, but also for the concerns of others. ⁵ Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, ⁶ who, existing in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, ⁷ but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming to be in the likeness of men. ⁸ And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself, becoming obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

⁸ though He was a Son, He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. ⁹ And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him,

² looking unto Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

¹ Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, you also arm yourselves with the same mind, because he who suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,

⁵ Likewise, younger people, subject yourselves to the elders. And all of you be subject to one another, and be clothed with humility, because "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble."
