⁷ And the Lord said to the devil, From where have you come? And the devil answered the Lord and said, I have come from compassing the earth, and walking up and down in the world.

²⁵ And he went in himself and stood before his master. And Elisha said to him,

² And the Lord said to the devil, From where have you come? Then the devil said before the Lord, I have come from going throughout the world, and walking about the whole earth.

¹⁰ And the man that stood between the mountains answered, and said to me, These are those whom the Lord has sent forth to go round the earth. ¹¹ And they answered the Angel of the Lord that stood between the mountains, and said, We have gone round all the earth, and behold, all the earth is inhabited, and is at rest.

⁷ And the ash-colored went out, and looked to go and compass the earth: and he said, Go, and compass the earth. And they compassed the earth.

⁴³ "When an unclean spirit goes out from a man, he goes through waterless places, seeking rest, and does not find any.

⁸ Be sober, be watchful; your adversary the devil walks about as a roaring lion, seeking someone he may devour.

⁹ And the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

¹² Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the earth and to the sea! Because the devil was thrown down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has but a short time." ¹³ Now when the dragon saw that he was cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male Child. ¹⁴ And the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, so that she might fly into the desert to her place, so that she might be nourished there for a time and times and half a time, from the face of the serpent. ¹⁵ And the serpent spewed water out of his mouth like a river after the woman, so that he might cause her to be carried off by the river. ¹⁶ But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and drank up the river which the dragon had cast out of his mouth. ¹⁷ And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went off to make war with the rest of her seed, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus.

⁸ and he will come out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to the war, whose number is like the sand of the sea.
