²⁹ Beware of deceit for yourselves; for wrath will come upon transgressors; and then shall they know where their substance is.

⁷ Do you not speak before the Lord, and utter deceit before Him? ⁸ Or will you draw back? Nay do, you yourselves be judges. ⁹ For it were well if He would thoroughly search you: for though doing all things in your power you should attach yourselves to Him, ¹⁰ He will surely not reprove you, but if you should secretly show partiality, ¹¹ shall not His whirlpool sweep around you, and terror from Him fall upon you?

²² Let him not trust that he shall return from darkness, for he has been already made over to the power of the sword.

⁴ Will you maintain and plead your own cause? And will He enter into judgment with you?

⁵ Therefore the ungodly shall not rise in the judgment, nor sinners in the counsel of the just.

⁷ but the Lord endures forever; He has prepared His throne for judgment.

¹⁰ The righteous shall rejoice when he sees the vengeance of the ungodly; he shall wash his hands in the blood of the sinner. ¹¹ And a man shall say, Verily then there is a reward for the righteous; verily there is a God that judges them in the earth.

⁹ Rejoice, O young man, in your youth; and let your heart cheer in the days of your youth, and walk in the ways of your heart blameless, but not in the sight of your eyes: yet know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment.

¹⁴ For God will bring every work into judgment, with everything that has been overlooked, whether or evil.

¹ "Judge not, lest you be judged. ² For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with what measure you measure, it will be measured back to you.

¹ Let every soul submit to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except by God, and the authorities that exist are instituted by God. ² Consequently the one resisting the authority has opposed the ordinance of God, and those opposing shall receive judgment to themselves. ³ For rulers are not a fear to good works, but to evil. And do you wish not to fear the authority? Do what is good, and you shall have praise from the same. ⁴ For he is God's servant to you for good. But if you do evil, fear; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God's servant, an avenger for wrath to the one practicing evil.

¹¹ Do not speak evil of one another, brothers. He who speaks evil against a brother and judges his brother speaks against the law and judges the law. And if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. ¹² There is one Lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you who judges the other?
