⁵ Listen, my beloved brothers. Did God not choose the poor of the world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those that love Him?

⁶ and bestowing mercy on them that love Me, to the thousands of them, and on them that keep My commandments.

⁷ And it was reported to Jotham, and he went and stood on the top of Mount Gerizim, and lifted up his voice, and wept, and said to them, Hear me, you men of Sicima, and God shall hear you.

³⁰ Therefore thus says the Lord God of Israel: I said, Your house and the house of your father shall pass before Me forever: but now the Lord says, Far be it from Me; for I will only honor them that honor Me, and he that despises Me shall be despised.

²⁸ And Micaiah said, If you ever return in peace, the Lord has not spoken by me.

¹⁰ Therefore listen to me, you that are wise in heart: far be it from me to sin before the Lord, and to pervert righteousness before the Almighty.

¹⁹ Such a one as would not reverence the face of an honorable man, neither knows how to give honor to the great, so as that their persons should be respected.

¹⁴ Or did you take the clay of the ground, and form a living creature with it, and set it with the power of speech upon the earth?

²⁴ Now then my son, listen to me, and attend to the words of my mouth.

¹⁷ I love those that love me, and they that seek me shall find me. ¹⁸ Wealth and glory belong to me; yea, abundant possessions and righteousness. ¹⁹ It is better to have my fruit than to have gold and precious stones; and my produce is better than choice silver. ²⁰ I walk in ways of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment; ²¹ that I may divide substance to them that love me, and may fill their treasures with good things. ^(8:21A) If I declare to you the things that happen daily, I will remember also to recount the things of old.

³² Now then, my son, hear me: blessed is the man who shall listen to me, and the mortal who shall keep my ways;

³² And what shall the kings of the nations answer? That the Lord has founded Zion, and by Him the poor of the people shall be saved.

¹⁹ and the poor shall rejoice with joy because of the Lord, and they that had no hope among men shall be filled with joy.

¹² And I will leave in you a meek and lowly people;

⁷ And I will tend the flock of slaughter in the land of Canaan: and I will take for Myself two rods; the one I called Beauty, and the other I called Line; and I will tend the flock.

¹¹ And it shall be broken in that day; and the Canaanites, the sheep that are kept for me, shall know that it is the word of the Lord.

³ "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

⁵ The blind receive sight, and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

³⁴ Then the King will say to those on His right hand, 'Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

¹⁴ And having summoned all the crowd, He said to them, "Hear Me, all of you and understand:

²⁰ Then He lifted up His eyes toward His disciples, and said: "Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.

⁵⁷ Now it happened as they journeyed on the road, that someone said to Him, "Lord, I will follow You wherever You go." ⁵⁸ And Jesus said to him, "Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head."

²¹ So is he who accumulates treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God."

³² Do not fear, little flock, because your Father is well pleased to give to you the kingdom.

²² And it came to pass that the beggar died, and he was carried away by the angels to Abraham's bosom. The rich man also died and was buried.

²⁵ But Abraham said, 'Child, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus bad things, but now here he is comforted and you are suffering.

²⁹ And I bestow upon you a kingdom, just as My Father bestowed one upon Me,

⁴⁸ Have any of the rulers or the Pharisees believed in Him?

² And he said, "Men, brothers and fathers, listen: The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Haran,

¹⁷ And if children, then heirs--heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer together, so that we may also be glorified together.

²⁶ For you see your calling, brothers, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many powerful, not many noble, are called. ²⁷ But God chose the foolish things of the world in order that He might humiliate the wise, and God chose the weak things of the world in order that He might humiliate the mighty. ²⁸ And the base things of the world, and the things having been despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, in order that He might nullify the things which are,

⁹ But as it is written: "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for those who love Him."

²¹ Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours: ²² whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas, or the world or life or death, or things present or things to come-all things are yours. ²³ And you are of Christ, and Christ is of God.

¹⁵ For all things are for your sakes, that grace, having spread through the many, may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.

¹⁰ as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

⁹ For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet on account of you He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.

¹⁸ the eyes of your heart having been enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

⁸ To me, the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,

¹² that you would make your walk worthy of God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory.

⁵ which is evidence of the righteous judgment of God, so that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, on behalf of which you also suffer;

¹⁸ to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous, sharing,

⁸ Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not only to me, but also to all those who have loved His appearing.

¹⁸ And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen!

²⁶ regarding the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he was looking to the reward.

⁹ Let the lowly brother rejoice in his exaltation,

¹² Blessed is the man who endures temptation; because when he is approved, he shall receive the crown of life which the Lord promised to those who love Him.

¹⁶ Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers.

⁴ into an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and unfading, reserved in the heavens for you,

¹¹ For in this way the entrance will be supplied to you richly into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

⁹ "I know your works, and your tribulation, and your poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.

¹⁸ I counsel you to buy from Me gold having been tried by fire, so that you may become rich; and white robes, so that you may be clothed, and the shame of your nakedness may not appear; and eye salve, so that you may anoint your eyes, in order that you may see.

⁷ He that overcomes I shall give to him these things, and I shall be God to him, and he shall be to Me a son.
