¹⁹ And I will betroth you to Myself forever; yea, I will betroth you to Myself in righteousness, and in judgment, and in mercy, and in tender compassions;

¹⁰ Mercy and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

²⁷ For her captives shall be saved with judgment, and with mercy.

²³ By Myself I swear, righteousness shall surely proceed out of My mouth; My words shall not be frustrated; that to Me every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall swear by God, ²⁴ saying, Righteousness and glory shall come to Him; and all that remove them from their borders shall be ashamed. ²⁵ By the Lord shall they be justified, and in God shall all the seed of the children of Israel be glorified.

⁵ For it is the Lord that made you; the Lord of hosts is His name; and He that delivered you, He is the God of Israel, and shall be called so by the whole earth.

⁸ In a little wrath I turned away My face from you; but with everlasting mercy will I have compassion upon you, says the Lord that delivers you. ⁹ From the time of the water of Noah this is My purpose; as I swore to him at that time, saying of the earth, I will no more be angry with you, neither when you are threatened, ¹⁰ shall the mountains depart, nor shall your hills be removed; so neither shall My mercy fail you, nor shall the covenant of your peace be at all removed; for the Lord who is gracious to you has spoken it.

¹⁴ And you shall be built in righteousness; abstain from injustice, and you shall not fear; and trembling shall not come near to you.

³ And you shall be a crown of beauty in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God. ⁴ And you shall no more be called Forsaken; and your land shall no more be called Desert; for you shall be called My Pleasure, and your land Inhabited; for the Lord has taken pleasure in you, and your land shall be inhabited. ⁵ And as a young man lives with a virgin, so shall your sons dwell in you; and it shall come to pass that as a bridegroom will rejoice over a bride, so will the Lord rejoice over you.

¹⁴ Turn, you children that have revolted, says the Lord; for I will rule over you. And I will take you, one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you in to Zion. ¹⁵ And I will give you shepherds after My heart, and they shall certainly tend you with knowledge.

² The Lord lives, with truth, in judgment and righteousness, then shall nations bless by him, and by him they shall praise God in Jerusalem.

³¹ Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah. ³² Not according to the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day when I took hold of their hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; for they abode not in My covenant, and I disregarded them, says the Lord. ³³ For this is My covenant which I will make with the house of Israel: after those days, says the Lord, I will surely put My laws into their mind, and write them on their hearts. And I will be to them a God, and they shall be to Me a people. ³⁴ And no more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord. For all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them. For I will be merciful to their iniquities, and their sins I will remember no more. ³⁵ Thus says the Lord, who gives the sun for a light by day, the moon and the stars for a light by night, and makes a roaring in the sea, so that its waves roar: the Lord Almighty is His name: ³⁶ if these ordinances cease from before Me, says the Lord, then shall the family of Israel cease to be a nation before Me forever.

³⁸ and they shall be to Me a people, and I will be to them a God. ³⁹ And I will give them another way, and another heart, to fear Me continually, and that for good to them and their children after them. ⁴⁰ And I will make with them an everlasting covenant, which I will by no means turn away from them, and I will put My fear into their heart, that they may not depart from Me. ⁴¹ And I will visit them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land in faithfulness, and with all My heart, and with all My soul.

²⁵ And they shall dwell in their land, which I have given to My servant Jacob, where their fathers dwelt; and they shall dwell upon it; and David My servant shall be their prince forever. ²⁶ And I will make with them a covenant of peace; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them; and I will establish My sanctuary in the midst of them forever. ²⁷ And My tabernacle shall be among them; and I will be to them a God, and they shall be My people. ²⁸ And the nations shall know that I am the Lord that sanctifies them, when My sanctuary is in the midst of them forever.

²⁹ And I will no more turn away My face from them, because I have poured out My wrath upon the house of Israel, says the Lord God.

²⁰ But Judea shall be inhabited forever, and Jerusalem to all generations.

²⁹ "He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the voice of the bridegroom. Therefore my joy has been fulfilled.

²⁵ whom God set forth as a propitiation through faith in His blood, for a demonstration of His righteousness through the passing over of the sins having previously occurred, in the forbearance of God, ²⁶ for a demonstration of His righteousness in the present time, that He might be just and the justifier of he who is of the faith of Jesus.

⁴ Therefore, my brothers, you also were put to death to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another--to Him who was raised from the dead, so that we might bear fruit to God.

² For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy, for I have betrothed you to one husband, to present you as a pure virgin to Christ.

⁷ In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace ⁸ which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and insight,

²³ because the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. ²⁴ But just as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives be to their own husbands in everything. ²⁵ Husbands, love your own wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, ²⁶ in order that He might sanctify her, cleansing her by the washing of water by the word, ²⁷ that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and blameless.

⁷ Let us rejoice and be exceedingly glad, and let us give Him glory, for the wedding of the Lamb has come, and His wife has prepared herself." ⁸ And to her it was granted that she should be dressed in fine linen, bright and pure, for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints. ⁹ Then he said to me, "Write: 'Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb!' " And he said to me, "These are the true words of God."

² Then I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, having been prepared like a bride having been adorned for her husband.

⁹ Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls being full with the seven last plagues came to me and spoke with me, saying, "Come, I will show you the wife, the bride of the Lamb." ¹⁰ And he carried me away in spirit onto a great and high mountain, and he showed to me the holy city Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,
