²¹ And so fearful was the spectacle, that Moses said, "I am greatly afraid and trembling."

¹⁶ And it came to pass on the third day, as the morning drew nigh, there were voices and lightnings and a dark cloud on Mount Sinai. The voice of the trumpet sounded loud, and all the people in the camp trembled.

¹⁹ And the sounds of the trumpet were growing much louder. Moses spoke, and God answered him with a voice.

¹⁹ And I was greatly terrified because of the wrath and anger, because the Lord was provoked with you utterly, to destroy you; yet the Lord hearkened to me at this time also.

¹²⁰ Penetrate my flesh with Your fear; for I am afraid of Your judgments.

³ And one cried to the other, and they said, Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory. ⁴ And the doorpost shook at the voice they uttered, and the house was filled with smoke. ⁵ And I said, Woe is me, for I am pricked to the heart; for being a man, and having unclean lips, I dwell in the midst of a people having unclean lips; and I have seen with my eyes the King, the Lord of hosts.

⁸ So I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there was no strength left in me, and my glory was turned into corruption, and I retained no strength.

¹⁷ And how shall your servant be able, O my lord, to speak with this my lord? And as for me, from now on strength will not remain in me, and there is no breath left in me.

¹⁷ And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as if dead. But He put His right hand on me, saying, "Do not fear; I am the First and the Last.
