⁵ And now thus says the Lord Almighty; Consider your ways!

²³ And Pharaoh turned and entered into his house, and paid no attention to this thing.

²¹ And he that did not attend in his mind to the word of the Lord left the cattle in the fields.

¹³ Mark well her strength, and observe her palaces; that you may tell the next generation.

⁴⁰ ( { π}) NUN. Our way has been searched out and examined, and we will turn to the Lord.

²⁸ and has turned away from all his ungodliness which he has committed: he shall surely live, he shall not die.

⁴ And the man said to me, Look with your eyes at him whom you have seen, son of man, and hear with your ears, and lay up in your heart all things that I show you; for you have come in here that I might show you, and you shall show all things that you see to the house of Israel.

¹⁴ Then the king, when he heard the saying, was greatly grieved for Daniel, and he set his heart on Daniel to deliver him: and he exerted himself till evening to deliver him.

¹² And he said to me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to afflict yourself before the Lord your God, your words were heard, and I have come because of your words.

⁷ Thus says the Lord Almighty; Consider your ways!

^{15 (2:16)} And now consider from this day forward, before they laid a stone upon a stone in the temple of the Lord, what manner of men you were. ^{16 (2:17)} When you cast into the grain bin twenty measures of barley, and there were only ten measures of barley: and you went to the vat to draw out fifty measures, and there were but twenty. ^{17 (2:18)} I struck you with blight and with mildew, and all the works of your hands with hail; yet you returned not to Me, says the Lord. ^{18 (2:19)} Set your hearts now to think from this day forward, from the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, even from the day when the foundation of the temple of the Lord was laid;

¹⁷ But having come to himself, he said, 'How many of my father's hired servants have an abundance of bread, and I am perishing with hunger!

⁵ Scrutinize yourselves as to whether you are in the faith; prove your own selves. Or do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you, unless indeed you are reprobates?

⁴ But let each person examine his own work, and then he will have boasting in himself alone, and not in the other.
