⁴² And having come this day to the well, I said, Lord God of my master Abraham, if You prosper my journey on which I am now going,

¹² And he said, O Lord God of my master Abraham, prosper my way before me today, and deal mercifully with my master Abraham. ¹³ Behold, I stand by the well of water, and the daughters of them that inhabit the city come forth to draw water. ¹⁴ And it shall be, the virgin to whomsoever I shall say, Let down your water pot, that I may drink, and she shall say, Drink, and I will give your camels a drink, until they have finished drinking — even this one You have prepared for Your servant Isaac, and hereby shall I know that You have dealt mercifully with my master Abraham.

³¹ And he said to him, Come in here, you blessed of the Lord, why do you stand outside, whereas I have prepared the house and a place for the camels?

³ And his master knew that the Lord was with him, and that the Lord prospered in his hands all that he did.

²¹ And I proclaimed there a fast, at the River Ahava, that we should humble ourselves before our God, to seek from Him the right way for us, and for our children, and for all our property.

¹¹ Turn not away, I pray, O Lord, but let Your ear be attentive to the prayer of Your servant, and to the prayer of Your servants, who desire to fear Your name, and prosper Your servant this day, and cause him to find mercy in the sight of this man (For I was the king's cupbearer).

⁵ Disclose Your way to the Lord, and trust in Him; and He shall bring it to pass.

¹⁷ And let the brightness of the Lord our God be upon us; and establish for us the works of our hands.
