¹ You shall not receive a false report. You shall not agree with the unjust to become an unjust witness.

¹⁶ You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

⁷ You shall abstain from every unjust thing: you shall not slay the innocent and righteous, and you shall not justify the wicked for gifts.

¹¹ You shall not steal, you shall not lie, neither shall one bear false witness as an informer against his neighbor.

¹⁶ You shall not walk deceitfully among your people; you shall not rise up against the blood of your neighbor: I am the Lord your God.

²⁰ You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

¹⁶ And if an unjust witness rise up against a man, alleging iniquity against him, ¹⁷ then shall the two men between whom the controversy is, stand before the Lord, and before the priests, and before the judges, who may be in those days. ¹⁸ And the judges shall make diligent inquiry; and behold, if an unjust witness has borne unjust testimony, and has stood up against his brother, ¹⁹ then shall you do to him as he wickedly devised to do against his brother, and you shall remove the evil from yourselves. ²⁰ And the rest shall hear and fear, and do no more according to this evil thing in the midst of you. ²¹ Your eye shall not spare him; you shall exact life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, and foot for foot.

³ And the king said, And where is the son of your master? And Ziba said to the king, Behold, he remains in Jerusalem; for he said, Today shall the house of Israel restore to me the kingdom of my father.

²⁷ And he has dealt deceitfully with your servant to my lord the king. But my lord the king is like an angel of God; do that which is good in your eyes.

¹⁰ And set two men, sons of transgressors, before him, and let them testify against him, saying, He blasphemed God and the king: and let them lead him forth, and stone him, and let him die. ¹¹ And the men of his city, the elders, and the nobles who dwelt in his city, did as Jezabel sent to them, and as it had been written in the letters which she sent to them. ¹² And they proclaimed a fast, and set Naboth in a chief place among the people. ¹³ And two men, sons of transgressors, came in, and sat opposite him, and bore witness against him, saying, You have 6blasphemed God and the king. And they led him forth out of the city, and stoned him with stones, and he died.

³ Who has not spoken craftily with his tongue, neither has done evil to his neighbor, nor taken up a reproach against them that dwell nearest to him.

¹² Deliver me not over to the desire of them that afflict me; for unjust witnesses have risen up against me, and injustice has lied within herself.

¹¹ Unjust witnesses arose, and asked me of things I knew not.

⁵ Him that secretly speaks against his neighbor, him have I driven from me; he that is proud in look and insatiable in heart — with him I have not eaten.

³ What should be given to you, and what should be added to you, for your crafty tongue?

¹⁹ An unjust witness kindles falsehoods, and brings on quarrels between brothers.

¹⁸ Righteous lips cover enmity, but they that utter railings are most foolish.

¹⁷ A righteous man declares the open truth, but an unjust witness is deceitful.

⁴ A bad man listens to the tongue of transgressors, but a righteous man attends not to false lips.

⁵ A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that accuses unjustly shall not escape.

⁹ A false witness shall not be unpunished, and whosoever shall kindle mischief shall perish by it.

²⁸ He that becomes surety for a foolish child will despise the ordinance, and the mouth of ungodly men shall drink down judgment.

²⁸ A false witness shall perish, but an obedient man will speak cautiously.

²⁸ Be not a false witness against your fellow citizen, neither exaggerate with your lips.

¹⁸ As a club, and a dagger, and a pointed arrow, so also is a man who bears false witness against his friend.

²³ The north wind raises clouds; so an impudent face provokes the tongue.

¹⁰ For I have heard the reproach of many gathering round, saying, Conspire, and let us conspire together against him, even all his friends. Watch his intentions, if perhaps he shall be deceived, and we shall prevail against him, and we shall be avenged on him.

¹⁸ He said to Him, "Which ones?" Jesus said, " 'You shall not murder,' 'You shall not commit adultery,' 'You shall not steal,' 'You shall not bear false witness,'

⁵⁹ Now the chief priests, the elders, and all the Sanhedrin were seeking false witnesses against Jesus, so that they might put Him to death, ⁶⁰ and they did not find any. And though many false witnesses came forward, they did not find any. But at last two false witnesses came forward ⁶¹ and said, "This Man said, 'I am able to destroy the temple of God, and after three days to rebuild it.' "

¹⁴ "And if this reaches the governor's ears, we will influence him and make you secure." ¹⁵ So they took the silver and did as they were instructed. And this saying has been widely spread among the Jews until this day.

¹⁴ Likewise the soldiers also were asking him, saying, "And what shall we do?" So he said to them, "Do not intimidate anyone or accuse anyone falsely, and be content with your wages."

⁸ Then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, "Look, Lord, I give half of my possessions to the poor; and if I have extorted anything from anyone, I restore fourfold."

¹¹ Then they secretly instigated men to be saying, "We have heard him speaking blasphemous words against Moses and God." ¹² And they aroused the people and the elders and the scribes; and coming upon him, they seized him, and led him to the council. ¹³ And they put forward false witnesses saying, "This man does not cease to speak blasphemous words against the holy place and the law;

⁸ And why not say, "Let us do evil so that good may come"?--just as we are slandered, and just as some affirm that we say. The judgment of whom is just.

²⁵ Therefore, having put off falsehood, "Let each one speak truth with his neighbor," for we are members of one another.

³ unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, not loving what is good,

¹⁶ having a good conscience, so that in what they speak against you as evildoers, those reviling your good conduct in Christ may be put to shame.

¹⁰ Then I heard a loud voice in heaven saying, "Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of His Christ, because the accuser of our brothers, the one who accused them before our God day and night, has been thrown out of heaven.
