²⁴ And the Lord said to him, Go down and then come up, you and Aaron with you; but let not the priests and the people force their way to come up to God, lest the Lord destroy some of them.

¹² And you shall separate the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves that you go not up into the mountain, nor touch any part of it: whoever touches the mountain shall surely die.

²¹ And God spoke to Moses, saying, Go down, and solemnly charge the people, lest at any time they draw near to God to gaze, and many of them perish. ²² And let the priests that draw near to the Lord God sanctify themselves, lest He destroy some of them.

¹ And to Moses he said, Go up to the Lord, you and Aaron and Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel: and they shall worship the Lord from a distance.

⁹ And Moses went up, and Aaron, and Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel.

¹² And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and violent men seize it.

²⁴ Strive to enter through the narrow gate, because many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able.

¹⁶ The law and the prophets were until John. Since that time the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone enters forcibly into it.

¹⁷ For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came to be through Jesus Christ.

¹⁵ because the law produces wrath; for where there is no law neither is there transgression.

⁷ Now if the ministry of death, having been engraved in letters on stones, came to be with glory, so that the sons of Israel could not look intently into the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, the glory which was passing away, ⁸ how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? ⁹ For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory. ¹⁰ For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all the things which are written in the book of the law, to do them." ¹¹ But that no one is justified by the law before God is evident, for "The just shall live by faith."

¹⁹ Why then the law? It was added on account of transgressions, until the Seed should come to whom it had been promised; and it was commanded through angels by the hand of a mediator.

²² But the Scripture has confined all under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

¹⁶ Therefore let us come boldly to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

¹⁹ Therefore, brothers, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, ²⁰ by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, ²¹ and having a High Priest over the house of God, ²² let us approach with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies having been washed with clean water.

¹⁸ For you have not come to the mountain that may be touched and that burned with fire, and to blackness and darkness and to a whirlwind, ¹⁹ and to a sound of a trumpet and to a voice of words, which those who heard begged that no further word be spoken to them. ²⁰ For they could not bear that which was commanded: "And if so much as a beast touches the mountain, it shall be stoned." ²¹ And so fearful was the spectacle, that Moses said, "I am greatly afraid and trembling." ²² But you have come to Zion, to the Mountain and city of the living God, to a heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels, ²³ to the general assembly and church of the firstborn having been enrolled in the heavens, to God the Judge of all, and to spirits of just men made perfect, ²⁴ and to Jesus, the Mediator of a new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling which speaks better things than the blood of Abel. ²⁵ See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape, having refused Him who warned them, how much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who warns from heaven;

²⁹ For our God is a consuming fire.
