¹³ Then Mordecai said to Hathach, Go, and say to her, Esther, say not to yourself that you alone will escape in the kingdom, more than all the other Jews.

¹⁰ He shall be defiled in the evil day, and in the day of affliction, until he is utterly consumed. ¹¹ Deliver them that are led away to death, and redeem them that are appointed to be slain; spare not your help. ¹² But if you should say, I know not this man; know that the Lord knows the hearts of all; and He that formed breath for all, He knows all things, who renders to every man according to his works.

²⁴ Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. ²⁵ For whoever desires to save his life shall lose it, but whoever loses his life on account of Me shall find it.

²⁵ He that loves his life shall lose it, and he that hates his life in this world shall keep it for eternal life.

³⁰ because for the work of Christ he drew near unto death, being careless with his life, in order that he might fill up that which was lacking in your service to me.

³ For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you be weary and discouraged in your souls.
