³ And Joab said to the king, Now may the Lord add to the people a hundredfold as many as they are, and may the eyes of my lord the king see it: but why does my lord the king desire this thing?

¹¹ May the Lord God of your fathers add to you a thousand times more numerous than you already are, and bless you, as He has spoken to you.

¹² Be courageous, and let us be strong for our people, and for the sake of the cities of our God, and the Lord shall do that which is good in His eyes.
