¹ Now I, Paul, myself appeal to you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, I who face to face am lowly among you, but when I am away am bold toward you.

⁴ and bend Your bow, and prosper, and reign, because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and Your right hand shall guide You wonderfully.

³ A bruised reed he shall not break, and smoking flax he shall not quench; but he shall bring forth judgment to truth. ⁴ He shall shine out, and shall not be discouraged, until he has set judgment on the earth; and in his name shall the Gentiles trust.

⁹ Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; proclaim it aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem; behold, your King is coming to you, righteous, and your Savior; He is meek and riding on a donkey, a young foal of a donkey.

²⁹ Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

¹⁹ He will not quarrel nor cry out, nor will anyone hear His voice in the streets. ²⁰ A bruised reed He shall not break, and a smoldering wick He shall not quench, till He bring forth justice to victory;

⁵ "Say to the daughter of Zion, 'Behold, your King is coming to you, humble, and sitting on a donkey, a colt, the foal of a donkey.' "

³² Now the portion of the Scripture which he was reading was this: "He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and as a lamb before its shearer is silent, thus He opened not His mouth.

²⁰ But Isaiah is very bold and says: "I was found by those who did not seek Me; I was made manifest to those who did not ask for Me."

¹ Therefore, brothers, I exhort you through the compassions of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, well pleasing to God, which is your intelligent service.

¹⁵ And I write more boldly to you brothers, in part, as reminding you, because of the grace having been given to me by God,

³ And I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling.

¹⁰ We are fools for Christ's sake, but you are wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are distinguished, but we are despised!

²¹ The salutation with my own hand--Paul's. ²² If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema. Marana tha!

¹² Therefore, having such hope, we use great boldness of speech--

²⁰ Now then, we serve as ambassadors for Christ, as though God were appealing through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God.

¹ And working together with Him, we also urge that you not receive the grace of God in vain.

⁴ Great is my confidence toward you, great is my boasting concerning you. I have been filled with comfort. I am exceedingly joyful in all our tribulation.

² But I beseech you that when I am present I may not be bold with the confidence with which I plan to be bold toward some, who consider us as walking according to the flesh.

⁷ Do you look at things as they appear? If anyone has persuaded himself that he is Christ's, let him again consider this in himself, that just as he is Christ's, even so we are Christ's.

¹⁰ "For his letters," they say, "are severe and boisterous, but his bodily presence is feeble, and his speech amounts to nothing."

²¹ To our shame, I say that we were too weak for that! But in whatever anyone is bold (I speak foolishly) I am bold also.

³⁰ If I must boast, I will boast about the things concerning my weakness.

⁵ Concerning such a one I will boast, but concerning myself I will not boast, except in my weaknesses.

⁷ And lest I exalt myself above measure by the excellence of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, an angel of Satan, that it might beat me, lest I exalt myself above measure. ⁸ Concerning this I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. ⁹ And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my weaknesses, in order that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

² I have previously said, and I say beforehand, as being present the second time, and now being absent I write to those who have sinned before, and to all the rest, that if I come again I will not spare you, ³ since you are seeking proof of Christ speaking in me, who is not weak toward you, but strong in you. ⁴ For although He was crucified in weakness, yet He lives by the power of God. For we are weak in Him, yet we shall live with Him by the power of God toward you.

¹³ You know that because of weakness in the flesh I preached the gospel to you the former time.

² Indeed I, Paul, say to you that if you become circumcised, Christ will profit you nothing.

¹ Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, urge you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called,

¹⁷ The greeting of Paul by my own hand, which is a sign in every letter; so I write.

⁹ rather on account of love I appeal to you--being such a one as Paul, the elder, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ--

¹¹ Beloved, I implore you as sojourners and pilgrims, to abstain from the lusts of the flesh which war against the soul;

²² "Who committed no sin, nor was deceit found in His mouth"; ²³ who, being verbally abused, did not return verbal insults, when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously;

⁹ I, John, your brother and partaker in the tribulation and kingdom and endurance in Christ Jesus, came to be on the island that is called Patmos on account of the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
