²⁹ then whatever prayer and whatever supplication shall be made by any man and all Your people Israel, if a man should know his own plague and his own sickness, and should spread forth his hands toward this house;

¹² And he stood before the altar of the Lord in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread out his hands. ¹³ For Solomon had made a bronze scaffold, and set it in the midst of the court of the sanctuary; the length of it was five cubits, and the breadth of it five cubits, and the height of it three cubits. ² Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin, and in whose mouth there is no guile. ³ Because I kept silence, my bones waxed old, from my crying all the day. ⁴ For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me; I became thoroughly miserable while a thorn was fastened in me. Pause. ⁵ I acknowledged my sin, and hid not my iniquity; I said, I will confess my iniquity to the Lord; and You forgave the ungodliness of my heart. Pause. ⁶ Therefore shall every holy one pray to You in a fit time; only in the deluge of many waters they shall not come near to Him.

¹² Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; the people whom He has chosen for His own inheritance. ¹³ The Lord looks out of heaven; He beholds all the sons of men.

¹⁵ And call upon Me in the day of affliction; and I shall deliver you, and you shall glorify Me. Pause.

¹⁵ He shall call upon Me, and I will hearken to him; I am with him in affliction; and I will deliver him, and glorify him.
