¹² And all the prophets prophesied in like manner, saying, Go up to Ramoth Gilead, and the thing shall prosper, and the Lord shall deliver it and the king of Syria into your hands.

²⁰ And the Lord said, Who will deceive Ahab king of Israel, that he may go up and fall in Ramoth Gilead? And one spoke one way, and another spoke another way. ²¹ And there came forth a spirit and stood before the Lord, and said, I will deceive him. ²² And the Lord said to him, In what way? And he said, I will go forth, and will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, You shall deceive him; yea, and you shall prevail: go forth, and do so. ²³ And now, behold, the Lord has put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these your prophets, and the Lord has spoken evil against you.

¹³ And the king sent yet again a captain and his fifty. And the third captain of fifty came, and knelt on his knees before Elijah, and entreated him, and spoke to him and said, O man of God, let my life, and the life of these fifty your servants, be precious in your eyes.

¹⁷ And David went out to meet them, and said to them, If you have come peaceably to me, let my heart be at peace with you; but if you have come to betray me to my enemies unfaithfully, may the God of your fathers look upon it, and bring judgment.

⁵ And when Haman understood that Mordecai did not bow down to him, he was greatly enraged,

⁸ let the king's servants bring the robe of fine linen which the king puts on, and the horse on which the king rides, ⁹ and let him give it to one of the king's noble friends, and let him array the man whom the king loves. And let him mount him on the horse, and proclaim through the streets of the city, saying, Thus shall it be to every man whom the king honors.

³ And he shall be as a tree planted by the brooks of waters, which shall yield its fruit in its season, and its leaf shall not fall off; and whatsoever he shall do shall prosper.

¹⁴ Behold, the wicked has travailed with unrighteousness; he has conceived trouble, and has brought forth iniquity. ¹⁵ He has opened a pit, and dug it up, and he shall fall into the ditch which he has made. ¹⁶ His trouble shall return on his own head, and his unrighteousness shall come down on his own crown.

² Everyone has spoken vanity to his neighbor: their lips are deceitful, they have spoken with a double heart.

⁷ Lift up your gates, you princes, and be lifted up, you everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. ⁸ Who is this King of Glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle!

¹ For the end, A Psalm, by David the servant of the Lord. The transgressor, that he may sin, says within himself, that there is no fear of God before his eyes. ² For he has dealt craftily before him, to discover his iniquity and hate it. ³ The words of his mouth are transgression and deceit; he is not inclined to understand how to do good.

¹² The sinner will watch for the righteous, and gnash his teeth upon him. ¹³ But the Lord shall laugh at him; for He foresees that his day will come. ¹⁴ Sinners have drawn their swords; they have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay the upright in heart.

³² The sinner watches the righteous, and seeks to slay him. ³³ But the Lord will not leave him in his hands, nor by any means condemn him when he is judged.

¹² While they pressed hard upon me that sought my soul; and they that sought my hurt spoke vanities, and devised deceits all the day.

³ God is known in her palaces, when He undertakes to help her. ⁴ For behold, the kings of the earth were assembled, they came together. ⁵ They saw, and so they wondered; they were troubled, they were moved. ⁶ Trembling took hold of them; there were the pangs as of a woman in travail.

¹¹ Cast me not away from Your presence; and remove not Your Holy Spirit from me.

⁵ for God has scattered the bones of the men-pleasers; they were ashamed, for God has despised them.

²¹ They were scattered at the anger of His countenance, and his heart drew near to them. His words were smoother than oil, yet they are darts.

²⁵ The princes went first, next before the players on instruments, in the midst of damsels playing on timbrels.

¹¹ Guide me, O Lord, in Your way, and I will walk in Your truth; let my heart rejoice, that I may fear Your name.

⁵ The good man is he that pities and lends; he will direct his affairs with judgment.

¹⁵ Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.

⁹⁹ I have more understanding than all my teachers; for Your testimonies are my meditation.

¹⁴¹ I am young and despised; yet I have not forgotten Your statutes.

⁸ The Lord shall keep your coming in, and your going out, from this time forth and forever.

¹⁰ A bad man does evil with insolence, but they that are judges of themselves are wise.

²⁰ Friends will hate poor friends, but the friends of the rich are many.

³³ The fear of the Lord is instruction and wisdom, and the highest honor will correspond therewith.

¹² Before ruin a man's heart is exalted, and before honor it is humble.

⁶ Many court the favor of kings, but every bad man becomes a reproach to another man. ⁷ Everyone who hates his poor brother shall also be far from friendship. Good understanding will draw near to them that know it, and a sensible man will find it. He that does much harm perfects mischief, and he that used provoking words shall not escape.

²⁴ A weeping enemy promises all things with his lips, but in his heart he contrives deceit. ²⁵ Though your enemy intreat you with a loud voice, consent not: for there are seven abominations in his heart. ²⁶ He that hides enmity frames deceit, but being easily discerned, exposes his own sins in the public assemblies.

⁴ Wrath is merciless and anger sharp, but envy can bear nothing.

⁵ He that prepares a net in the way of his own friend, entangles his own feet in it.

¹² When a king hearkens to unjust language, all his subjects are transgressors.

⁴ And I saw all labor, and all the diligent work, that this is a man's envy from his neighbor. This also is vanity and grasping for the wind.

¹⁵ and should find in it a poor wise man, and he should save the city through his wisdom: yet no man would remember that poor man. ¹⁶ And I said, Wisdom is better than power; yet the wisdom of the poor man is despised, and his words are not listened to.

¹⁷ I will not allow any weapon formed against you to prosper; and every voice that shall rise up against you for judgment, you shall vanquish them all; and your adversaries shall be condemned thereby. There is an inheritance to them that serve the Lord, and you shall be righteous before Me, says the Lord.

¹⁰ and they shall greatly rejoice in the Lord. Let my soul rejoice in the Lord; for He has clothed me with the robe of salvation, and the garment of joy; He has put a turban on me as on a bridegroom, and adorned me with ornaments as a bride.

⁶ And I said, O Lord, Sovereign Lord, behold, I know not how to speak, for I am a child.

²⁶ For among My people were found ungodly men; and they have set snares to destroy men, and have caught them.

⁸ Their tongue is a wounding arrow; the words of their mouth are deceitful. One speaks peaceably to his neighbor, but in himself retains enmity.

² Thus says the Lord: I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon. ³ Yet two full years, and I will return into this place the vessels of the house of the Lord, ⁴ with Jeconiah, and the captivity of Judah; For I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.

¹¹ And Hananiah spoke in the presence of all the people, saying, Thus said the Lord: Thus will I break the yoke of the king of Babylon from the necks of all the nations. And Jeremiah went his way.

¹¹ For the Lord has ransomed Jacob, He has rescued him out of the hand of them that were stronger than he. ¹² And they shall come, and shall rejoice in the mount of Zion, and shall come to the good things of the Lord, to a land of wheat, and wine, and fruits, and cattle, and sheep. And their soul shall be as a fruitful tree; and they shall hunger no more. ¹³ Then shall the virgins rejoice in the assembly of youth, and the old men shall rejoice; and I will turn their mourning into joy, and will make them merry.

²⁰ And in every matter of wisdom and knowledge wherein the king questioned them, he found them ten times wiser than all the enchanters and sorcerers that were in all his kingdom.

⁴ Then the governors and satraps sought to find occasion against Daniel; but they found against him no occasion, nor trespass, nor error, because he was faithful. ⁵ And the governors said, We shall not find occasion against Daniel, except in the ordinances of his God.

¹² For even if they should rear their children, yet shall they be utterly bereaved. Wherefore also there is woe to them, though My flesh is of them.

² And it shall come to pass in that day, says the Lord of hosts, that I will utterly destroy the names of the idols from off the land, and there shall be no longer any remembrance of them: and I will cut off the false prophets and the evil spirit from the land. ³ And it shall come to pass, if a man will yet prophesy, that his father and his mother which gave birth to him shall say to him, You shall not live; for you have spoken lies in the name of the Lord: and his father and his mother who gave him birth shall bind him as he is prophesying. ⁴ And it shall come to pass in that day, that the prophets shall be ashamed, everyone of his vision, when he prophesies; and they shall clothe themselves with a garment of hair, because they have lied. ⁵ And one shall say, I am not a prophet, but I am a farmer, for a man brought me up thus from my youth.

²³ "Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel," which is translated, "God with us."

¹⁶ "Behold, I am sending you forth like sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be as wise as serpents and innocent as doves.

¹⁵ Is it not lawful for me to do what I wish with my own things? Or is your eye evil because I am good?'

⁴¹ "Then He will also say to those on the left, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels:

²⁰ teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

²⁰ for Herod was afraid of John, knowing that he was a just and holy man, and he was protecting him. And when he heard him, he did many things, but he would hear him gladly.

²² thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, arrogance, foolishness.

³⁰ But having passed through the midst of them, He went on.

³⁷ Then the whole multitude from the surrounding region of the Gadarenes asked Him to go away from them, because they were gripped with great fear. And He got into the boat and returned.

²² But the father said to his servants, 'Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet.

⁴⁸ and were unable to do anything; for all the people were very attentive to hear Him.

¹⁹ And the chief priests and the scribes sought to lay hands on Him that very hour, but they were afraid--for they knew that He had spoken this parable against them.

¹⁵ for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict nor to withstand.

⁵⁹ Therefore they picked up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, having gone through their midst, and so passed by.

³⁹ Therefore they were seeking again to seize Him, but He escaped from their hand.

⁵³ Therefore from that day on they took counsel together, that they might kill Him.

⁹ "And the patriarchs, being jealous of Joseph, sold him into Egypt; and God was with him, ¹⁰ and delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favor and wisdom before Pharaoh, king of Egypt; and he made him ruler over Egypt and all his house.

¹⁶ Now it came to pass, as we went to prayer, that a certain slave girl, having a spirit of Python, met us, who brought much profit to her masters by fortune telling.

¹⁰ for I am with you, and no one will attack you to harm you; for I have many people in this city."

²⁵ And as he reasoned about righteousness, self-control, and the judgment which is going to be, Felix became afraid and answered, "Go away for now; but when I have opportunity I will summon you."

²¹ For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

²⁷ nor give opportunity to the devil.

¹⁵ See then that you walk carefully, not as unwise, but as wise,

¹⁷ Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

⁷ but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming to be in the likeness of men. ⁸ And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself, becoming obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

² that their hearts may be encouraged, being joined together in love, and to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to a full knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ,

⁵ Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, redeeming the time.

¹¹ And because of this, God will send them strong delusion, in order for them to believe the lie,

⁵ If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it shall be given to him.

¹⁹ You believe God is one. You do well. Even the demons believe--and they shudder!

¹⁷ But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.

⁵ Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, "The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously"?

⁹ Do not murmur against one another, brothers, lest you be judged. Behold, the Judge stands before the doors!

⁴ Coming to Him as to a living stone, having been rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious,

⁷ Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient, "The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone,"

¹ Behold what manner of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God! On account of this the world does not know you, because it did not know Him.

¹² not as Cain who was of the evil one and slew his brother. And for what reason did he slay him? Because his works were evil and the works of his brother were righteous. ¹³ Do not marvel, my brothers, if the world hates you. ¹⁴ We know that we have passed over from death to life, because we love the brothers. He who does not love his brother abides in death. ¹⁵ Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.

⁹ Behold, I will give those of the synagogue of Satan, those who say they are Jews and are not, but they are lying—behold, I will compel them to come and bow down at your feet, and they shall know that I have loved you.
