¹³ And two men, sons of transgressors, came in, and sat opposite him, and bore witness against him, saying, You have 6blasphemed God and the king. And they led him forth out of the city, and stoned him with stones, and he died.

¹⁶ You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

¹¹ And the son of the Israelite woman named THE NAME and cursed; and they brought him to Moses. And his mother's name was Shelomith, daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan. ¹² And they put him in custody, to judge him by the command of the Lord. ¹³ And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, ¹⁴ Bring forth him that cursed outside the camp, and all who heard shall lay their hands upon his head, and all the congregation shall stone him. ¹⁵ And speak to the sons of Israel, and you shall say to them, Whosoever shall curse God shall bear his sin. ¹⁶ And he that names the name of the Lord, let him die the death: let all the congregation of Israel stone him with stones; whether he be a stranger or a native, let him die for naming the name of the Lord.

³⁵ And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Let the man by all means be put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones. ³⁶ And all the congregation brought him forth out of the camp; and all the congregation stoned him with stones outside the camp, as the Lord commanded Moses.

²⁰ You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

¹⁰ And they shall stone him with stones, and he shall die, because he sought to draw you away from the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

¹¹ But put forth Your hand, and touch all that he has, and he will curse You to Your face.

⁹ And when much time had passed, his wife said to him, How long will you hold out, saying, ^(9A) Behold, I wait yet a little while, expecting the hope of my deliverance? ^(9B) For behold, your memorial is abolished from the earth, even your sons and daughters, the pangs and pains of my womb which I bore in vain with sorrows; ^(9C) and you yourself sit down to spend the nights in the open air among the corruption of worms, ^(9D) and I am a wanderer and a servant from place to place and house to house, waiting for the setting of the sun, that I may rest from my labors, and my pangs which now beset me: ^(9E) but curse the Lord, and die.

¹² Deliver me not over to the desire of them that afflict me; for unjust witnesses have risen up against me, and injustice has lied within herself.

¹¹ Unjust witnesses arose, and asked me of things I knew not.

¹⁹ An unjust witness kindles falsehoods, and brings on quarrels between brothers.

⁵ A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that accuses unjustly shall not escape.

⁹ A false witness shall not be unpunished, and whosoever shall kindle mischief shall perish by it.

¹⁸ As a club, and a dagger, and a pointed arrow, so also is a man who bears false witness against his friend.

¹ So I returned, and saw all the oppressions that were done under the sun. And behold, the tears of the oppressed, and they had no comforter; and on the side of them that oppressed them was power; but they had no comforter.

²⁰ Even in your conscience, curse not the king; and curse not the rich in your bedchamber; for a bird of the air shall carry your voice, and that which has wings shall report your speech.

¹⁰ Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, Amos is forming conspiracies against you in the midst of the house of Israel: the land will be utterly unable to bear all his words.

⁵ And I will draw near to you in judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the witches, and against the adulteresses, and against them that swear falsely by My name, and against them that keep back the hireling's wages, and them that oppress the widow, and afflict orphans, and that wrest the judgment of the stranger, and do not fear Me, says the Lord Almighty.

³ And at once some of the scribes said among themselves, "This Man blasphemes!"

⁵⁶ For many were testifying falsely against Him, but their testimonies were not the same. ⁵⁷ Then some stood up and were testifying falsely against Him, saying, ⁵⁸ "We heard Him saying, 'I will destroy this temple made with hands, and after three days I will build another one not made with hands.' " ⁵⁹ But not even in this way was their testimony the same.

² And they began to accuse Him, saying, "We found this Man perverting the nation, and forbidding to pay taxes to Caesar, saying that He Himself is Christ, a King."

¹² From this point Pilate was seeking to release Him, but the Jews kept crying out, saying, "If you release this Man, you are no friend of Caesar's. Whoever makes himself a king speaks against Caesar."

¹¹ Then they secretly instigated men to be saying, "We have heard him speaking blasphemous words against Moses and God."

⁵⁷ Then they cried out with a loud voice, stopped their ears, and ran at him with one purpose; ⁵⁸ and casting him outside the city, they stoned him. And the witnesses laid down their clothes beside the feet of a young man named Saul. ⁵⁹ And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit."

⁵ For we have found this man to be a plague, and one causing discord among all the Jews throughout the world, and a leader of the Nazarenes sect,
