And the king said, Let him be hanged thereon. ¹⁰ So Aman was hanged on the gallows that had been prepared for Mardochaeus: and then the king's wrath was appeased.

¹⁴ And he permitted it to be so done; and he gave up to the Jews of the city the bodies of the sons of Aman to hang.
