² And the first departed and poured out his bowl into the earth, and an evil and grievous sore came upon the men having the mark of the beast and those worshiping its image.

²⁰ And a certain poor man named Lazarus, being full of sores, was laid at his gate ²¹ and desiring to be fed from that falling from the table of the rich man; but even the dogs, coming, were licking his sores. ²² And it came to pass that the poor man died, and he was carried away by the angels into the bosom of Abraham. And the rich man also died and was buried.

²³ And immediately an angel of the Lord struck him in return for that he did not give the glory to God. And having been eaten by worms, he breathed his last.

⁷ And the first sounded his trumpet, and there was hail and fire having been mixed with blood, and it was cast upon the earth. And a third of the earth was burned up, and a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up.

¹⁵ And there was given to it to give breath to the image of the beast, so that image of the beast also should speak, and should cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast would be killed. ¹⁶ And it causes all the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free and the servants, that it should give them a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, ¹⁷ and that no one should be able to buy or to sell, if not the one having the mark—the name of the beast, or the number of its name. ¹⁸ Here is the wisdom. The one having understanding, let him count the number of the beast, for it is a man’s number, and its number is six hundred sixty-six.

¹⁶ And the One sitting upon the cloud put forth His sickle upon the earth, and the earth was harvested.

¹¹ and they blasphemed the God of heaven on account of their distresses, and on account of their sores; and they did not repent of their deeds.
