²⁰ teaching them to observe all things, whatever I commanded you. And behold, I am with you all the days, until the completion of the age.”

²³ “Behold, the virgin will hold in womb, and will bring forth a son, and they will call His name Immanuel” which is, being translated, “God with us.”

¹³ And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.’

²⁴ Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house upon the rock. ²⁵ And the rain came down, and the torrents came, and the winds blew and beat upon that house; and it did not fall, for its foundation had been lain upon the rock. ²⁶ And everyone hearing these words of Mine and not acting on them, he will be likened to a foolish man who built his house upon the sand. ²⁷ And the rain came down, and the torrents came, and the winds blew and beat upon that house; and it fell—and great was its collapse!”

³⁹ and the enemy having sown them is the devil; and the harvest is the consummation of the age; and the harvesters are angels. ⁴⁰ Therefore, as the weeds are gathered and consumed in fire, so will it be in the consummation of the age.

⁴⁹ Thus will it be in the consummation of the age: The angels will go out and will separate the evil from the midst of the righteous,

²⁰ For where two or three are gathered together unto My name, there am I in their midst.”

³ And as He was sitting upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him in private, saying, “Tell us, when these things will be? And what is the sign of Your coming, and the consummation of the age?”

²⁰ And having gone forth, they preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word by the accompanying signs.

¹⁸ I will not leave you as orphans; I am coming to you. ¹⁹ Yet a little while, and the world sees Me no more, but you see Me. Because I live, you also will live. ²⁰ In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. ²¹ The one having My commandments and keeping them, he is the one loving Me. Now the one loving Me will be loved by My Father. And I will love him, and will show Myself to him.” ²² Judas (not Iscariot) says to Him, “Lord, then what has occurred, that You are about to manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?” ²³ Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word, and My Father will love him, and we will come to him and will make a home with him.

⁴² Now they were steadfastly continuing in the teaching of the apostles, and in the fellowship, in the breaking of the bread, and in the prayers.

⁹ Now the Lord said to Paul through a vision in the night, “Do not fear, but continue speaking, and do not be silent, ¹⁰ because I am with you, and no one will lay a hand on you to harm you, because there are many people to me in this city.”

²⁰ how I did not shrink back from declaring to you anything being profitable, and teaching you publicly and from house to house, ²¹ earnestly testifying both to the Jewish and to Greeks repentance in God and faith in our Lord Jesus.

²⁷ For I did not shrink back from proclaiming to you the whole counsel of God.

² Now I commend you that you have remembered me in all things, and you are keeping the teachings as I delivered to you.

²³ For I received from the Lord that which also I delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which He was betrayed, took bread,

³⁷ If anyone considers himself to be a prophet or spiritual, let him recognize that the things I write to you are the commands of the Lord.

¹¹ And He gave some indeed to be apostles, and some prophets, and some evangelists, and some shepherds and teachers, ¹² toward the perfecting of the saints for the work of ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ, ¹³ until we all may attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a complete man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, ¹⁴ so that no longer we might be infants, being tossed by waves and being carried about by every wind of teaching in the cunning, in the craftiness of men with a view to the scheming of deceit. ¹⁵ But speaking the truth in love, we should grow up in all things into Him who is the head, Christ, ¹⁶ from whom the whole body, being joined together and being held together by every ligament of its supply, according to the working in the measure of each individual part, the increase of the body makes for itself, to the building up of itself in love. ¹⁷ This therefore I say and testify in the Lord: You are no longer to walk as also the Gentiles are walking, in the futility of their mind,

²⁰ But you have not learned Christ this way, ²¹ if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him just as the truth is in Jesus. ²² You are to have put off, concerning the former way of life, the old man, which is being corrupted according to its desires of deceit, ²³ and to be renewed in the spirit of your mind, ²⁴ and to have put on the new man, having been created according to God in righteousness and holiness of truth. ²⁵ Therefore having put off falsehood, let each one speak truth with his neighbor, because we are members of one another. ²⁶ “Be angry, and yet do not sin.” Let not the sun set upon your anger, ²⁷ neither give opportunity to the devil. ²⁸ The one stealing, let him steal no longer, but rather let him toil, working with the own hands what is good, so that he may have something to impart to the one having need. ²⁹ Do not let any unwholesome word go forth out of your mouth, but only good, for edification of the need, so that it may give grace to those hearing. ³⁰ And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. ³¹ Let all bitterness, and rage, and anger, and clamor, and slander, be removed from you, along with all malice. ³² And be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, as also in Christ God forgave you.

²⁸ whom we preach, admonishing every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, so that we may present every man perfect in Christ.

¹ Finally then, brothers, we implore and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that just as you have received from us in what manner it behooves you to walk and to please God, just as even you walk now, so you should abound more. ² For you know what instructions we gave you through the Lord Jesus.

⁶ Now we warn you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, you are to withdraw from every brother walking idly and not according to the tradition that you received from us. ⁷ For you yourselves know how it behooves you to imitate us, because we were not idle among you, ⁸ nor did we eat bread from anyone without payment, but in labor and toil, working night and day in order not to be burdensome to any of you, ⁹ not that we do not have the right, but that we may offer ourselves as an example to you for you to imitate us. ¹⁰ For even when we were with you, we were commanding you this, that “if anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat.” ¹¹ For we hear some among you are walking idly, not working at all, but being busybodies. ¹² Now we command and exhort to such by our Lord Jesus Christ so that, working with quietness, they may eat their own bread.

¹ As many as are under a yoke as slaves, let them esteem the own masters worthy of all honor, so that the name of God and the teaching should not be blasphemed. ² Now those having believing masters, let them not despise them because they are brothers; but rather, let them serve them, because those being helped by the good service are believing and beloved. Teach and exhort these things. ³ If anyone teaches another doctrine and does not draw near, being sound in the words of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teaching according to godliness, ⁴ he is puffed up, knowing nothing, but unhealthy about controversies and disputes about words, out of which come envy, strife, slander, evil suspicions,

¹⁷ But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the proclamation would be fully accomplished, and all the Gentiles should hear. And I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

¹ But you, speak the things that are consistent with the sound doctrine. ² The aged men are to be sober-minded, dignified, self-controlled, sound in faith, in love, in endurance; ³ the aged women likewise reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not being enslaved to much wine, teachers of what is good, ⁴ so that they may train the young women to be lovers of their husbands, loving their children, ⁵ self-controlled, pure, keepers at home, kind, being subject to the own husbands, so that the word of God should not be maligned. ⁶ Likewise, exhort the younger men to be self-controlled. ⁷ In all things be holding forth yourself as a pattern of good works, in the teaching, integrity, dignity, ⁸ and sound speech beyond reproach, so that he who is of the contrary may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say concerning us. ⁹ Servants are to be subject to their own masters in everything, to be well-pleasing, not gainsaying, ¹⁰ not pilfering, but showing all good fidelity, so that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things.

¹⁰ who once were not a people, but now are the people of God; those not having received mercy, but now having received mercy. ¹¹ Beloved, I exhort you as aliens and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly desires, which war against the soul, ¹² keeping your conduct among the Gentiles honorable, so that wherein which they speak against you as evildoers, through having witnessed the good deeds, they may glorify God in the day of visitation. ¹³ Be in subjection to every human institution for the sake of the Lord, whether to the king as being supreme, ¹⁴ or to governors as being sent by him for vengeance to evildoers and praise to well-doers, ¹⁵ because the will of God is this: doing good, to put to silence the ignorance of foolish men, ¹⁶ as free, and not having the freedom as a cover-up for evil, but as servants of God. ¹⁷ Honor everyone: love the brotherhood, fear God, Honor the king. ¹⁸ Servants, be subject to masters with all fear, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the unreasonable. ¹⁹ For this is acceptable, if for sake of conscience toward God, anyone endures griefs, suffering unjustly.

⁵ Now also for this very reason, having brought in all earnestness, supplement into your faith virtue, and into virtue knowledge, ⁶ and into knowledge self-control, and into self-control endurance, and into endurance godliness, ⁷ and into godliness brotherly affection, and into brotherly affection love. ⁸ For these things being in you and abounding, make you neither idle nor unfruitful as to the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. ⁹ For in whomever these things are not present, he is blind, being short sighted, having received forgetfulness of the purification from his former sins. ¹⁰ Therefore, brothers, be diligent, rather, to make your calling and election sure. For practicing these things, never at any time shall you stumble. ¹¹ For in this way the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be richly supplied to you.

² to be mindful of the words having been spoken beforehand by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of the Lord and Savior through your apostles,

³ And by this we know that we have come to know Him, if we should keep His commandments. ⁴ The one saying, “I have known Him,” and not keeping His commandments, he is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

¹⁹ And by this we will know that we are of the truth, and we will assure our heart before Him, ²⁰ that if our heart should condemn us, that God is greater than our heart, and He knows all things. ²¹ Beloved, if our heart should not condemn us, we have confidence toward God, ²² and whatever we might ask, we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and we do the things pleasing before Him. ²³ And this is His commandment, that we should believe in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ, and we should love one another, just as He gave the commandment to us. ²⁴ And the one keeping His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us: by the Spirit whom He has given to us.

¹⁸ and the Living One. And I was dead, and behold I am living to the ages of the ages, and I have the keys of Death and of Hades.

¹⁴ Blessed are those washing their robes, that their right will be to the tree of life, and they shall enter into the city by the gates.

²⁰ The One testifying these things says, “Yes, I am coming quickly.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! ²¹ The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all the saints. Amen.
