¹³ And Jesus having come into the district of Caesarea Philippi, He was questioning His disciples saying, “Whom do men pronounce the Son of Man to be?”

²⁰ And Jesus says to him, “Foxes have holes, and the birds of the air nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere He might lay the head.”

⁶ But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins...” Then He says to the paralytic, “Having arisen, take up your mat and go to your house.”

⁸ For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.”

³² And if anyone speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but if anyone speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, neither in this age nor in the coming one.

⁴⁰ For just as Jonah was in the belly of the great fish three days and three nights, so the Son of Man will be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights.

³⁷ And answering He said, “The One sowing the good seed is the Son of Man;

⁴¹ The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all the stumbling blocks and those practicing lawlessness,

²¹ And having gone forth from there, Jesus withdrew to the district of Tyre and Sidon.

³¹ And when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit upon His throne of glory.

²⁷ And Jesus and His disciples went forth into the villages of Caesarea Philippi. And on the way, He was questioning His disciples, saying to them, “Whom do men pronounce Me to be?” ²⁸ And they answered Him, saying, “John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; and others, one of the prophets.” ²⁹ And He was questioning them, “But whom do you pronounce Me to be?” Peter answering, says to Him, “You are the Christ.”

³⁸ For whoever may be ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man also will be ashamed of him when He shall come in the glory of His Father, with the holy angels.”

⁴⁵ For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”

¹⁸ And it came to pass as He was praying in solitary, the disciples were with Him, and He questioned them, saying, “Whom do the crowds pronounce Me to be?” ¹⁹ And answering, they said, “John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; and others, that a prophet, one of the ancients, has arisen.” ²⁰ And He said to them, “But whom do you pronounce Me to be?” And Peter answering said, “The Christ of God.”

⁵¹ And He says to him, “Truly, truly, I say to all of you, you will see the heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.”

¹⁴ And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, thus it behooves the Son of Man to be lifted up,

²⁷ And He gave Him authority to execute judgment, because He is the Son of Man.

³⁴ Then the crowd answered Him, “We have heard from the Law that Christ abides to the age, and how do you say that it behooves the Son of Man to be lifted up? Who is this Son of Man?”

⁵⁶ and he said, “Behold, I see the heavens having been opened, and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.”

³⁸ Jesus from Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all those being oppressed by the devil, because God was with Him.

¹⁴ Therefore, since the children have partaken of blood and of flesh, He also likewise took part in the same things, so that through His death He might destroy the one holding the power of death, that is, the devil, ¹⁵ and might set free those who all their time to live were subject to slavery through fear of death. ¹⁶ For surely He helps not the angels, but He helps the seed of Abraham. ¹⁷ Therefore it behooved Him to be made like the brothers in all things, so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things relating to God, in order to make propitiation for the sins of the people. ¹⁸ For in that He Himself has suffered, having been tempted, He is able to help those being tempted.
