³⁸ And there was also this inscription over Him: The King of the Jews.

¹¹ Now Jesus stood before the governor, and the governor questioned Him, saying, “Are You the King of the Jews?” And Jesus said, “You say.”

³⁷ And they put up over His head the written accusation against Him: this is Jesus, the King of the Jews.

¹⁸ and they began to salute Him, “Hail, King of the Jews!”

²⁶ And there was the inscription of the accusation against Him, having been written: The King of the Jews.

³² The Christ, the King of Israel, let Him descend now from the cross, that we might see and believe!” And those being crucified with Him were upbraiding Him.

³ And Pilate questioned Him, saying, “Are You the King of the Jews?” And answering him, He was saying, “You say.”

And it was written, Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews. ²⁰ Therefore many of the Jews read this title, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city, and it was written in Hebrew, in Latin, and in Greek. ²¹ Therefore the chief priests of the Jews were saying to Pilate, “Do not write, ‘The King of the Jews,’ but that He said, ‘I am King of the Jews.’” ²² Pilate answered, “What I have written, I have written.”
