⁴⁴ You are of your father the devil, and you desire to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has not stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him. Whenever he might speak falsehood, he speaks from the own; for he is a liar, and the father of it.

³⁸ and the field is the world; and the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom; and the weeds are the sons of the evil one;

⁷⁰ Jesus answered them, “Did I not choose you, the Twelve? And one of you is a devil!”

³⁸ I speak that which I have seen with the Father; therefore you also do what you have heard from your father.”

⁴¹ You are doing the works of your father.” Therefore they said to Him, “We have not been born of sexual immorality. We have one Father, God.”

³ But Peter said, “Ananias, because of why has Satan filled your heart for you to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back from the proceeds of the land?

¹⁰ said, “O full of all deceit and all craft, son of the devil, enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease perverting the straight ways the of Lord?

³ But I am afraid, lest by any means, as the serpent in his craftiness deceived Eve, your minds might be corrupted from the simplicity and the purity in Christ.

¹³ For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. ¹⁴ And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. ¹⁵ Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their deeds.

⁹ whose coming is according to the working of Satan, in every power, and in signs, and in wonders of falsehood, ¹⁰ and in every deception of wickedness unto those perishing, in return for which they did not receive the love of the truth in order for them to be saved. ¹¹ And because of this, God will send to them a working of delusion, for them to believe what is false,

¹ From where come quarrels and from where conflicts among you? Is it not from there, out of your passions warring in your members? ² You desire and do not have. You kill and covet and are not able to obtain. You fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask. ³ You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, that you may spend it in your pleasures. ⁴ Adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility with God? Therefore whoever has chosen to be a friend of the world is appointed an enemy of God. ⁵ Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “The Spirit that He has made to dwell in us yearns with envy”? ⁶ But He gives greater grace. Therefore it says: “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” ⁷ Therefore subject yourselves to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

⁸ Be sober-minded; watch. Your adversary the devil prowls about as a roaring lion seeking whom to devour,

⁴ For if God did not spare the angels having sinned, but having cast them down to Tartarus, in chains of gloomy darkness, delivered them, being kept for judgment;

⁴ The one saying, “I have known Him,” and not keeping His commandments, he is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

⁸ The one practicing sin is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. For this reason the Son of God was revealed, so that He might destroy the works of the devil. ⁹ Anyone having been born of God does not practice sin, because His seed abides in him, and he is not able to continue sinning, because he has been born of God. ¹⁰ Through this, the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: anyone not practicing righteousness is not of God, and also the one not loving his brother.

¹² not as Cain, who was of the evil one and slew his brother. And why did he slay him? Because his works were evil, but those of his brother, righteous.

¹⁵ Everyone hating his brother is a murderer; and you know that any murderer does not have eternal life abiding in him.

⁶ And the angels not having kept their own domain, but having abandoned the own dwelling, He keeps in eternal chains under darkness, unto the judgment of the great day;

¹⁰ Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, so that you might be tested; and you shall have tribulation ten days. Be faithful unto death, and I will give to you the crown of life.

¹¹ They have a king over them, the angel of the abyss. His name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in the Greek, he has the name Apollyon.

⁹ And the great dragon was thrown out, the ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, deceiving the whole inhabited world. He was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.

⁶ And it opened its mouth unto blasphemies against God, to blaspheme His name and His tabernacle, those dwelling in heaven. ⁷ And there was given to it to make war with the saints, and to overcome them. And authority was given to it over every tribe and people and tongue and nation. ⁸ And all dwelling on the earth will worship it, of whom their names have not been written from the founding of the world in the book of life of the Lamb having been slain.

¹⁴ And it deceives those dwelling on the earth, by reason of the signs that were given to it to perform before the beast, telling those dwelling on the earth to make an image to the beast that has the wound of the sword and has lived.

² And he seized the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. ³ And he cast him into the Abyss, and shut and sealed it over him, so that he should not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were completed. After these things it is necessary for him to be released for a little time.

⁷ And when the thousand years shall have been completed, Satan will be released out of his prison, ⁸ and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together unto the war, of whom is the number of them like the sand of the sea. ⁹ And they marched up over the breadth of the earth and encircled the camp of the saints and the city having been beloved. But fire came down out of heaven and devoured them. ¹⁰ And the devil, the one deceiving them, was cast into the lake of fire and of sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet also are; and they will be tormented day and night to the ages of the ages.

⁸ But to the cowardly and unbelieving and having become abominable and murderers and the sexually immoral and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their portion is in the lake burning with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

¹⁵ Outside are the dogs, and the sorcerers, and the sexually immoral, and the murderers, and the idolaters, and everyone loving and practicing falsehood.
