John 21:19 Cross References - BLB

¹⁹ Now He said this signifying by what death he will glorify God. And having said this, He says to him, “Follow Me.”

³⁸ And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.

²¹ From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that it is necessary for Him to go away to Jerusalem, and to suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and to be killed, and to be raised on the third day. ²² And Peter having taken Him aside, began to rebuke Him, saying, “Far be it from You, Lord! This never will be to You!” ²³ And having turned, He said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me. For your thoughts are not of the things of God, but the things of men.” ²⁴ Then Jesus said His to disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. ²⁵ For whoever might desire to save his life will lose it; but whoever might lose his life on account of Me will find it.

²⁸ And Jesus said to them, “Truly I say to you that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man shall sit down upon His throne of glory, you having followed Me, you also will sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

³³ And having turned and having looked upon His disciples, He rebuked Peter, and said, “Get behind Me, Satan, for your thoughts are not of the things of God, but the things of men.” ³⁴ And having summoned the crowd with His disciples, He said to them, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and let him take up his cross, and let him follow Me. ³⁵ For whoever might desire to save his life will lose it, and whoever will lose his life on account of Me and of the gospel, he will save it. ³⁶ For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and to lose his soul? ³⁷ For what shall a man give as an exchange for his soul? ³⁸ For whoever may be ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man also will be ashamed of him when He shall come in the glory of His Father, with the holy angels.”

²² having said, “It is necessary for the Son of Man to suffer many things, and to be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and to be killed, and on the third day to be raised.” ²³ And He was saying to all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and let him take up his cross every day, and let him follow Me. ²⁴ For whoever might desire to save his life will lose it; but whoever might lose his life on account of me, he will save it. ²⁵ For what is a man profited, having gained the whole world, and having destroyed or having suffered the loss of himself? ²⁶ For whoever may have been ashamed of Me and My words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when He shall come in His glory, and that of the Father and of the holy angels.

²⁶ If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.

³³ Now He was saying this, signifying by what death He was about to die.

³⁶ Simon Peter says to Him, “Lord, where are You going?” Jesus answered him, “Where I go, you are not able to follow Me now, but you will follow afterward.” ³⁷ Peter says to Him, “Lord, why am I not able to follow You presently? I will lay down my life for You.”

³² that word of Jesus might be fulfilled, which He had spoken signifying what death He was about to die.

²² Jesus says to him, “If I desire him to remain until I come, what is it to you? You follow Me!”

²⁰ according to my earnest expectation and hope that I will be ashamed in nothing, but in all boldness also now as always, Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death.

¹¹ if anyone speaks, as oracles of God; if anyone serves, as of strength which God supplies, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory and the power to the ages of the ages. Amen. ¹² Beloved, do not be surprised at the fire among you taking place for a trial to you, as if a strange thing were happening to you. ¹³ But as you have shared in the sufferings of Christ, rejoice, so that also in the revelation of His glory you may rejoice, exulting. ¹⁴ If you are insulted in the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.

¹⁴ knowing that the putting off of my tabernacle is impending, as also our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me.
