¹ Ἐν (In the) ἀρχῇ (beginning) ἦν (was) ὁ (the) Λόγος (Word), καὶ (and) ὁ (the) Λόγος (Word) ἦν (was) πρὸς (with) τὸν (-) Θεόν (God), καὶ (and) Θεὸς (God) ἦν (was) ὁ (the) Λόγος (Word).

¹⁰ τοῦτο (This) δὲ (then) ἐγένετο (continued) ἐπὶ (for) ἔτη (years) δύο (two), ὥστε (so that) πάντας (all) τοὺς (those) κατοικοῦντας (inhabiting) τὴν (-) Ἀσίαν (Asia) ἀκοῦσαι (heard) τὸν (the) λόγον (word) τοῦ (of the) Κυρίου (Lord), Ἰουδαίους (Jews) τε (both) καὶ (and) Ἕλληνας (Greeks).

⁷ Πᾶσιν (To all) τοῖς (those) οὖσιν (being) ἐν (in) Ῥώμῃ (Rome), ἀγαπητοῖς (beloved) Θεοῦ (of God), κλητοῖς (called) ἁγίοις (saints): Χάρις (Grace) ὑμῖν (to you) καὶ (and) εἰρήνη (peace) ἀπὸ (from) Θεοῦ (God) Πατρὸς (the Father) ἡμῶν (of us) καὶ (and) Κυρίου (the Lord) Ἰησοῦ (Jesus) Χριστοῦ (Christ).

³ Χάρις (Grace) ὑμῖν (to you) καὶ (and) εἰρήνη (peace) ἀπὸ (from) Θεοῦ (God) Πατρὸς (Father) ἡμῶν (of us) καὶ (and) Κυρίου (the Lord) Ἰησοῦ (Jesus) Χριστοῦ (Christ).

⁴ Διαιρέσεις (Varieties) δὲ (now) χαρισμάτων (of gifts) εἰσίν (there are), τὸ (-) δὲ (but) αὐτὸ (the same) Πνεῦμα (Spirit); ⁵ καὶ (and) διαιρέσεις (varieties) διακονιῶν (of services) εἰσιν (there are), καὶ (but) ὁ (the) αὐτὸς (same) Κύριος (Lord); ⁶ καὶ (and) διαιρέσεις (varieties) ἐνεργημάτων (of workings) εἰσίν (there are), ὁ (the) δὲ (but) αὐτὸς (same) Θεός (God) ὁ (-) ἐνεργῶν (is working) τὰ (the) πάντα (all things) ἐν (in) πᾶσιν (everyone). ⁷ Ἑκάστῳ (To each) δὲ (now) δίδοται (is given) ἡ (the) φανέρωσις (manifestation) τοῦ (of the) Πνεύματος (Spirit) πρὸς (for) τὸ (the) συμφέρον (common profiting). ⁸ ᾧ (To one) μὲν (truly) γὰρ (for) διὰ (through) τοῦ (the) Πνεύματος (Spirit) δίδοται (is given) λόγος (a word) σοφίας (of wisdom), ἄλλῳ (to another) δὲ (now) λόγος (a word) γνώσεως (of knowledge), κατὰ (according to) τὸ (the) αὐτὸ (same) Πνεῦμα (Spirit), ⁹ ἑτέρῳ (and to a different one), πίστις (faith) ἐν (by) τῷ (the) αὐτῷ (same) Πνεύματι (Spirit), ἄλλῳ (to another) δὲ (now) χαρίσματα (gifts) ἰαμάτων (of healing) ἐν (in) τῷ (that) ἑνὶ (one) Πνεύματι (Spirit), ¹⁰ ἄλλῳ (to another) δὲ (now) ἐνεργήματα (working) δυνάμεων (of miracles), ἄλλῳ (to another) δὲ (now) προφητεία (prophecy), ἄλλῳ (to another) δὲ (now) διακρίσεις (distinguishing) πνευμάτων (of spirits), ἑτέρῳ (and to a different one) γένη (various kinds) γλωσσῶν (of tongues), ἄλλῳ (to another) δὲ (now) ἑρμηνεία (interpretation) γλωσσῶν (of tongues). ¹¹ πάντα (All) δὲ (now) ταῦτα (these things) ἐνεργεῖ (works) τὸ (the) ἓν (one) καὶ (and) τὸ (the) αὐτὸ (same) Πνεῦμα (Spirit), διαιροῦν (apportioning) ἰδίᾳ (individually) ἑκάστῳ (to each) καθὼς (as) βούλεται (He wills). ¹² Καθάπερ (Just as) γὰρ (for) τὸ (the) σῶμα (body) ἕν (one) ἐστιν (is), καὶ (and) μέλη (members) πολλὰ (many) ἔχει (has), πάντα (all) δὲ (now) τὰ (the) μέλη (members) τοῦ (of the) σώματος (body), πολλὰ (many) ὄντα (being), ἕν (one) ἐστιν (are) σῶμα (body); οὕτως (so) καὶ (also is) ὁ (-) Χριστός (Christ). ¹³ καὶ (Also) γὰρ (for) ἐν (in) ἑνὶ (one) Πνεύματι (Spirit), ἡμεῖς (we) πάντες (all) εἰς (into) ἓν (one) σῶμα (body) ἐβαπτίσθημεν (were baptized), εἴτε (whether) Ἰουδαῖοι (Jews) εἴτε (or) Ἕλληνες (Greeks), εἴτε (whether) δοῦλοι (slaves) εἴτε (or) ἐλεύθεροι (free); καὶ (and) πάντες (all) ἓν (one) Πνεῦμα (Spirit) ἐποτίσθημεν (we were made to drink).

² Χάρις (Grace) ὑμῖν (to you) καὶ (and) εἰρήνη (peace) ἀπὸ (from) Θεοῦ (God) Πατρὸς (the Father) ἡμῶν (of us) καὶ (and) Κυρίου (the Lord) Ἰησοῦ (Jesus) Χριστοῦ (Christ).

¹⁰ Καί (And): “Σὺ (You) κατ’ (in) ἀρχάς (the beginning), Κύριε (Lord), τὴν (of the) γῆν (earth) ἐθεμελίωσας (laid the foundation), καὶ (and) ἔργα (works) τῶν (of the) χειρῶν (hands) σού (of You) εἰσιν (are) οἱ (the) οὐρανοί (heavens). ¹¹ αὐτοὶ (They) ἀπολοῦνται (will perish); σὺ (You) δὲ (however) διαμένεις (remain); καὶ (and) πάντες (all) ὡς (like) ἱμάτιον (a garment) παλαιωθήσονται (will grow old); ¹² καὶ (and) ὡσεὶ (like) περιβόλαιον (a robe) ἑλίξεις (You will roll up) αὐτούς (them), ὡς (like) ἱμάτιον (a garment) καὶ (also) ἀλλαγήσονται (they will be changed); σὺ (You) δὲ (however) ὁ (the) αὐτὸς (same) εἶ (are), καὶ (and) τὰ (the) ἔτη (years) σου (of You) οὐκ (not) ἐκλείψουσιν (will never end).” ¹³ Πρὸς (To) τίνα (which) δὲ (now) τῶν (of the) ἀγγέλων (angels) εἴρηκέν (did He say) ποτε (ever): “Κάθου (Sit) ἐκ (at) δεξιῶν (the right hand) μου (of Me), ἕως (until) ἂν (-) θῶ (I may place) τοὺς (the) ἐχθρούς (enemies) σου (of You) ὑποπόδιον (as a footstool) τῶν (for the) ποδῶν (feet) σου (of You)”?

⁸ Ἰησοῦς (Jesus) Χριστὸς (Christ) ἐχθὲς (yesterday) καὶ (and) σήμερον (today) ὁ (is the) αὐτός (same), καὶ (and) εἰς (to) τοὺς (the) αἰῶνας (ages).

¹⁷ πᾶσα (Every) δόσις (act of giving) ἀγαθὴ (good), καὶ (and) πᾶν (every) δώρημα (gift) τέλειον (perfect), ἄνωθέν (from above) ἐστιν (is), καταβαῖνον (coming down) ἀπὸ (from) τοῦ (the) Πατρὸς (Father) τῶν (-) φώτων (of lights), παρ’ (with) ᾧ (whom) οὐκ (not) ἔνι (there is) παραλλαγὴ (variation) ἢ (or) τροπῆς (of shifting) ἀποσκίασμα (shadow).

¹ Ἀποκάλυψις (The revelation) Ἰησοῦ (of Jesus) Χριστοῦ (Christ), ἣν (which) ἔδωκεν (gave) αὐτῷ (Him) ὁ (-) Θεός (God), δεῖξαι (to show) τοῖς (to the) δούλοις (bond-servants) αὐτοῦ (of Him) ἃ (what things) δεῖ (it behooves) γενέσθαι (to take place) ἐν (in) τάχει (quickness). καὶ (And) ἐσήμανεν (He signified it), ἀποστείλας (having sent) διὰ (through) τοῦ (the) ἀγγέλου (angel) αὐτοῦ (of Him), τῷ (to the) δούλῳ (servant) αὐτοῦ (of Him), Ἰωάννῃ (John),

⁸ “Ἐγώ (I) εἰμι (am) τὸ (the) Ἄλφα (Alpha) καὶ (and) τὸ (the) Ὦ (Omega),” λέγει (says) Κύριος (Lord) ὁ (-) Θεός (God), ὁ (the One) ὢν (being), καὶ (and) ὁ (who) ἦν (was), καὶ (and) ὁ (who) ἐρχόμενος (is coming), ὁ (the) Παντοκράτωρ (Almighty).

¹¹ λεγούσης (saying), “Ὃ (What) βλέπεις (you see), γράψον (write) εἰς (in) βιβλίον (a book), καὶ (and) πέμψον (send) ταῖς (to the) ἑπτὰ (seven) ἐκκλησίαις (churches), εἰς (to) Ἔφεσον (Ephesus), καὶ (and) εἰς (to) Σμύρναν (Smyrna), καὶ (and) εἰς (to) Πέργαμον (Pergamum), καὶ (and) εἰς (to) Θυάτειρα (Thyatira), καὶ (and) εἰς (to) Σάρδεις (Sardis), καὶ (and) εἰς (to) Φιλαδέλφειαν (Philadelphia), καὶ (and) εἰς (to) Λαοδίκειαν (Laodicea).”

²⁰ τὸ (the) μυστήριον (mystery) τῶν (of the) ἑπτὰ (seven) ἀστέρων (stars), οὓς (which) εἶδες (you saw) ἐπὶ (on) τῆς (the) δεξιᾶς (right hand) μου (of Me), καὶ (and) τὰς (the) ἑπτὰ (seven) λυχνίας (lampstands) τὰς (-) χρυσᾶς (golden): οἱ (The) ἑπτὰ (seven) ἀστέρες (stars) ἄγγελοι (the angels) τῶν (of the) ἑπτὰ (seven) ἐκκλησιῶν (churches) εἰσίν (are), καὶ (and) αἱ (the) λυχνίαι (lampstands) αἱ (-) ἑπτὰ (seven) ἑπτὰ (the seven) ἐκκλησίαι (churches) εἰσίν (are).

⁸ Καὶ (And) τῷ (to the) ἀγγέλῳ (messenger) τῆς (of) ἐν (in) Σμύρνῃ (Smyrna) ἐκκλησίας (the church) γράψον (write): Τάδε (These things) λέγει (says) ὁ (the) πρῶτος (First) καὶ (and) ὁ (the) ἔσχατος (Last), ὃς (who) ἐγένετο (became) νεκρὸς (dead) καὶ (and) ἔζησεν (came to life).

¹² Καὶ (And) τῷ (to) ἀγγέλῳ (the messenger) τῆς (of the) ἐν (in) Περγάμῳ (Pergamum) ἐκκλησίας (church) γράψον (write): Τάδε (These things) λέγει (says) ὁ (the One) ἔχων (having) τὴν (the) ῥομφαίαν (sword) τὴν (-) δίστομον (two-edged) τὴν (-) ὀξεῖαν (sharp).

¹⁸ Καὶ (And) τῷ (to) ἀγγέλῳ (the messenger) τῆς (of the) ἐν (in) Θυατείροις (Thyatira) ἐκκλησίας (church) γράψον (write): Τάδε (These things) λέγει (says) ὁ (the) Υἱὸς (Son) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (of God), ὁ (the One) ἔχων (having) τοὺς (the) ὀφθαλμοὺς (eyes) αὐτοῦ (of Him) ὡς (like) φλόγα (a flame) πυρός (of fire), καὶ (and) οἱ (the) πόδες (feet) αὐτοῦ (of Him) ὅμοιοι (like) χαλκολιβάνῳ (burnished bronze).

¹ Καὶ (And) τῷ (to the) ἀγγέλῳ (messenger) τῆς (of the) ἐν (in) Σάρδεσιν (Sardis) ἐκκλησίας (church) γράψον (write): Τάδε (These things) λέγει (says) ὁ (the One) ἔχων (having) τὰ (the) ἑπτὰ (seven) Πνεύματα (Spirits) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (of God), καὶ (and) τοὺς (the) ἑπτὰ (seven) ἀστέρας (stars). Οἶδά (I know) σου (your) τὰ (-) ἔργα (deeds), ὅτι (that) ὄνομα (the characterization) ἔχεις (you have) ὅτι (that) ζῇς (you are alive), καὶ (and yet) νεκρὸς (dead) εἶ (you are).

⁷ Καὶ (And) τῷ (to) ἀγγέλῳ (the messenger) τῆς (of the) ἐν (in) Φιλαδελφείᾳ (Philadelphia) ἐκκλησίας (church) γράψον (write): Τάδε (These things) λέγει (says) ὁ (the) ἅγιος (Holy One), ὁ (the) ἀληθινός (True One), ὁ (-) ἔχων (having) τὴν (the) κλεῖν (key) Δαυίδ (of David), ὁ (the One) ἀνοίγων (opening) καὶ (and) οὐδεὶς (no one) κλείσει (will shut), καὶ (and) κλείων (shutting) καὶ (and) οὐδεὶς (no one) ἀνοίγει (opens).

¹⁴ Καὶ (And) τῷ (to the) ἀγγέλῳ (messenger) τῆς (of the) ἐν (in) Λαοδικείᾳ (Laodicea) ἐκκλησίας (church) γράψον (write): Τάδε (These things) λέγει (says) ὁ (the) Ἀμήν (Amen), ὁ (the) μάρτυς (Witness) ὁ (-) πιστὸς (faithful) καὶ (and) ἀληθινός (true), ἡ (the) ἀρχὴ (Beginning) τῆς (of the) κτίσεως (creation) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (of God).

⁵ Καὶ (And) ἐκ (out of) τοῦ (the) θρόνου (throne) ἐκπορεύονται (come) ἀστραπαὶ (flashes of lightning), καὶ (and) φωναὶ (voices), καὶ (and) βρονταί (thunderings). καὶ (And) ἑπτὰ (there were seven) λαμπάδες (lamps) πυρὸς (of fire) καιόμεναι (burning) ἐνώπιον (before) τοῦ (the) θρόνου (throne), ἅ (which) εἰσιν (are) τὰ (the) ἑπτὰ (seven) Πνεύματα (Spirits) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (of God).

⁸ καὶ (And) τὰ (the) τέσσαρα (four) ζῷα (living creatures), ἓν (one) καθ’ (for) ἓν (one) αὐτῶν (of them) ἔχων (had) ἀνὰ (respectively) πτέρυγας (wings) ἕξ (six), κυκλόθεν (all around) καὶ (and) ἔσωθεν (within) γέμουσιν (full) ὀφθαλμῶν (of eyes); καὶ (and) ἀνάπαυσιν (rest) οὐκ (not) ἔχουσιν (they have) ἡμέρας (day) καὶ (and) νυκτὸς (night), λέγοντες (saying): “Ἅγιος (Holy), ἅγιος (Holy), ἅγιος (Holy), Κύριος (Lord) ὁ (-) Θεός (God) ὁ (-) Παντοκράτωρ (Almighty), ὁ (the One) ἦν (having been), καὶ (and) ὁ (the One) ὢν (being), καὶ (and) ὁ (the One) ἐρχόμενος (coming).”

⁶ Καὶ (And) εἶδον (I saw) ἐν (in) μέσῳ (the midst) τοῦ (of the) θρόνου (throne) καὶ (and) τῶν (of the) τεσσάρων (four) ζῴων (living creatures), καὶ (and) ἐν (in) μέσῳ (the midst) τῶν (of the) πρεσβυτέρων (elders), Ἀρνίον (a Lamb) ἑστηκὸς (standing) ὡς (as) ἐσφαγμένον (having been slain), ἔχων (having) κέρατα (horns) ἑπτὰ (seven) καὶ (and) ὀφθαλμοὺς (eyes) ἑπτά (seven), οἵ (which) εἰσιν (are) τὰ (the) ἑπτὰ (seven) Πνεύματα (Spirits) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (of God), ἀπεσταλμένοι (having been sent out) εἰς (into) πᾶσαν (all) τὴν (the) γῆν (earth).
