³³ οὕτως (Thus) καὶ (also) ὑμεῖς (you), ὅταν (when) ἴδητε (you see) πάντα (all) ταῦτα (these things), γινώσκετε (know) ὅτι (that) ἐγγύς (near) ἐστιν (He is), ἐπὶ (at) θύραις (the doors).

³⁷ ἔτι (Yet) γὰρ (for), “Μικρὸν (A little) ὅσον (very) ὅσον (while), ὁ (the One) ἐρχόμενος (coming) ἥξει (will come), καὶ (and) οὐ (not) χρονίσει (will delay).

⁹ μὴ (Not) στενάζετε (grumble) ἀδελφοί (brothers) κατ’ (against) ἀλλήλων (one another), ἵνα (so that) μὴ (not) κριθῆτε (you may be condemned). ἰδοὺ (Behold), ὁ (the) κριτὴς (Judge) πρὸ (before) τῶν (the) θυρῶν (doors) ἕστηκεν (is standing).

⁷ Πάντων (Of all) δὲ (now) τὸ (the) τέλος (end) ἤγγικεν (has drawn near). σωφρονήσατε (Be clear-minded) οὖν (therefore), καὶ (and) νήψατε (sober) εἰς (for the purpose of) προσευχάς (prayers),

²⁰ Ἰδοὺ (Behold), ἕστηκα (I stand) ἐπὶ (at) τὴν (the) θύραν (door) καὶ (and) κρούω (knock). ἐάν (If) τις (anyone) ἀκούσῃ (should hear) τῆς (the) φωνῆς (voice) μου (of Me) καὶ (and) ἀνοίξῃ (open) τὴν (the) θύραν (door), ‹καὶ› (then) εἰσελεύσομαι (I will come in) πρὸς (to) αὐτὸν (him), καὶ (and) δειπνήσω (will dine) μετ’ (with) αὐτοῦ (him), καὶ (and) αὐτὸς (he) μετ’ (with) ἐμοῦ (Me).
