¹⁰ Ὡς (When) δὲ (however) ἀνέβησαν (had gone up) οἱ (the) ἀδελφοὶ (brothers) αὐτοῦ (of Him) εἰς (to) τὴν (the) ἑορτήν (feast), τότε (then) καὶ (also) αὐτὸς (He) ἀνέβη (went up), οὐ (not) φανερῶς (openly), ἀλλὰ (but) ὡς (as) ἐν (in) κρυπτῷ (secret).

¹⁵ Ἀποκριθεὶς (Answering), δὲ (however), ὁ (-) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus) εἶπεν (said) ‹πρὸς (unto) αὐτόν› (him), “Ἄφες (Permit it) ἄρτι (presently); οὕτως (thus) γὰρ (for) πρέπον (fitting) ἐστὶν (it is) ἡμῖν (to us) πληρῶσαι (to fulfill) πᾶσαν (all) δικαιοσύνην (righteousness).” τότε (Then) ἀφίησιν (he permits) αὐτόν (Him).

¹⁶ Ἰδοὺ (Behold), ἐγὼ (I) ἀποστέλλω (send forth) ὑμᾶς (you) ὡς (as) πρόβατα (sheep) ἐν (in) μέσῳ (the midst) λύκων (of wolves); γίνεσθε (be you) οὖν (therefore) φρόνιμοι (shrewd) ὡς (as) οἱ (the) ὄφεις (serpents), καὶ (and) ἀκέραιοι (innocent) ὡς (as) αἱ (the) περιστεραί (doves).

³ εἶπον (Said) οὖν (therefore) πρὸς (to) αὐτὸν (Him) οἱ (the) ἀδελφοὶ (brothers) αὐτοῦ (of Him), “Μετάβηθι (Depart) ἐντεῦθεν (from here) καὶ (and) ὕπαγε (go) εἰς (into) τὴν (-) Ἰουδαίαν (Judea), ἵνα (so that) καὶ (also) οἱ (the) μαθηταί (disciples) σου (of You) θεωρήσουσιν (will see) «τὰ (the) ἔργα» (works) σοῦ (of You) ἃ (that) ποιεῖς (You are doing).

⁵ οὐδὲ (Not even) γὰρ (for) οἱ (the) ἀδελφοὶ (brothers) αὐτοῦ (of Him) ἐπίστευον (were believing) εἰς (in) αὐτόν (Him).

⁵⁴ Ὁ (-) οὖν (Therefore) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus) οὐκέτι (no longer) παρρησίᾳ (publicly) περιεπάτει (walked) ἐν (among) τοῖς (the) Ἰουδαίοις (Jews), ἀλλὰ (but) ἀπῆλθεν (went away) ἐκεῖθεν (from there) εἰς (into) τὴν (the) χώραν (region) ἐγγὺς (near) τῆς (the) ἐρήμου (wilderness), εἰς (to) Ἐφραὶμ (Ephraim) λεγομένην (called) πόλιν (a city). κἀκεῖ (And there) ἔμεινεν (He stayed) μετὰ (with) τῶν (the) μαθητῶν (disciples).

⁴ Ὅτε (When) δὲ (however) ἦλθεν (had come) τὸ (the) πλήρωμα (fullness) τοῦ (of the) χρόνου (time), ἐξαπέστειλεν (sent forth) ὁ (-) Θεὸς (God) τὸν (the) Υἱὸν (Son) αὐτοῦ (of him), γενόμενον (having been born) ἐκ (of) γυναικός (a woman), γενόμενον (having been born) ὑπὸ (under) νόμον (the Law),
