1 And on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they came to the sepulcher, bringing the spices which they had prepared; and with them came certain others. 2 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulcher; 3 and they entered in, but found not the body of the Lord Jesus. 4 And it came to pass, while they were much perplexed at this, behold, two men stood by them in shining raiment. 5 And while they feared and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them: Why seek you among the dead for him that lives? 6 He is not here, but he has risen; remember that he spoke to you while he was yet in Galilee, 7 saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. 8 And they remembered his words, 9 and returned from the sepulcher, and told all these things to the eleven and to the rest. 10 It was Mary Magdalene and Joanna and Mary the mother of James, and the others with them, that told these things to the apostles. 11 And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believed them not.

John 20:1-2

1 And early on the first day of the week, while it was yet dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb. 2 Then she ran and came to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and said to them: They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we know not where they have laid him.

John 20:18

18 Mary Magdalen came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had said these things to her.
